I always liked the night, it's always so calm and peaceful. And the sky is lit with billions and billions of stars, both dead and alive. I would always go out at night and stare at them when I was a kid. They made me feel... at peace. But, moving to the city meant I couldn't see more than half of them. All the streetlights were always on.
I'm on my way to "Dust Till Dawn" to pick up an order I placed about a few days ago for my weapon since all students attending Signal Academy are required to have one on day one, and I had finally just figured out how to build my "weapon of choice" as the website put it. it said it had to have one unique feature about it, like transforming into another weapon. In truth, my friend Ruby sort-of helped me with the idea.
I trained with a staff with my older brother when I was still at home, and liked the idea of keeping forever. Then, I learned about Grimm, and decided to not take it with me to Signal Academy. A Scythe was definitely too big for me to handle, and I don't exactly like guns. But when she told me about the part where she can shoot fire and ice out of it, that's when it hit me. It honestly doesn't make sense, but it does to me.
I can see the shop from here. "From Dust Till Dawn" in amber brown was painted on the top of the building. I kept walking until I heard voices. I looked to my left, down an alley I saw 2 thugs with black suits, red ties, and red sunglasses, talking this girl half their size. I could swear they were from Junior's Nightclub, which meant trouble They didn't appear to have weapons, so I could stop them easily.
I get closer, sneaking my way behind a giant dumpster, and I notice the the small girl had half her hair pink, and the other half brown. She also had two different color eyes. The girl stood her ground, and simply stared at both of them as they were hitting on her.
I could tell a fight was about to start when one of their voices started to get louder, and more angry. I sneak my way behind him, and grab his shoulder.
Eton: When a woman says no, then that means you leave."
They both look behind at me for a moment, then the guy shrugged his shoulder off my hand.
Thug: She hasn't said a thing. So technically, she hasn't said no.
I suddenly notice the girl was smiling, as if she had everything under control.
Thug 2: Now why don't you beat, kid. Or else...
Eton: "or else" what? Does Junior know you're both out here?
Thug: Junior doesn't care if two of his guys are out have'n a good time. Now we won't say it again: beat it.
He pushes me away, then they both focuses their attention back on the girl. They didn't seem to see me as a real threat. I couldn't just leave that girl with these two, it didn't feel right. Then, I thought of a genius plan to get rid of them.
Eton: you know what, I think I know this girl.
The same girl looks at me with a raised eyebrow and her smile gone. The two thugs then slowly turn around to face me.
Thug: what are you goin on about?
Eton: I saw the news when that blond chick completely destroyed Junior, his thugs, and the entire club. Were you there? Or were you out drinking with your buddy here?
The second thug gets his face directly into mine, trying to scare off.
Thug: get to the point, kid.
Eton: I'm actually good friends with Blondie. I live right across the street from her, really. We needed two more people for Remnant: the game, so she got her little sister, and called up her friend who you've bean chatting up for who knows how long...
