Infatuation

Prologue

I walked around the corner to bump into a boy who was about 13 with black hair and mesmerizing hazel eyes. He had lean muscles in his arms and I just couldn't get over his eyes........that were staring at me. And his lips were saying something.
"I'm sorry what?"
"I said are you done checking me out?" I blushed so bad and he just laughed.
"It's not funny!!" I protested trying not to laugh.
"I'm Tye.." He said, chuckling.
"Riley." I said and we both smiled.

"Riley!! Wait up!!!" I turned around to see Tye running to me. I kept running and hid on a low tree branch that had a lot of leaves. Feeling tears run down my face, I thought about the words Tye said. Well at least I'm not a whiny dumb blonde bitch!!! More tears fell as I brought my knees to my chest. I heard Tye calling me and then a few minutes later it stopped. I sighed and then when I thought I was safe, I felt two hands grab my ankle and pull me down. When I thought I was about to hit the ground, I felt arms catch me. I looked up to see Tye hesitantly smiling. I groaned and tried to get out of his arms but he was too strong. He sat down next to the tree and sat me on his lap.
"I didn't mean it Riley, I was just upset. You know I love you." I sighed and looked up at the sky.
"If you didn't mean it why did you say it?"
"I was just talking whatever came to mind, I only do that when someone riles me up. That someone was Aiden. And he's always wanted to break us up."
I nodded and hugged Tye. He hugged me back and I heard him sniff. I let go and saw tears falling down his face.
"It's ok Tye, you didn't lose me."
"I almost lost you, and I don't want to lose you."
"You won't." I cut off his words by kissing him. Thankfully, he kissed back and that was the end of the conversation.

"Tye!!!!" I ran so fast I almost tripped over my own feet. When I got to him, I lifted his head onto my knees and checked for wounds.
"Someone call 911!!!!!"
I found a huge piece of metal in his stomach and I whimpered. I ripped a piece of my huge sweater off and wrapped it around my hand. Then, I tried to grab the metal and pull it out but when Tye yelled out in pain I stopped.
"T-Tye.....what happened baby?"
"I-I was driving.........and a guy w-was trying to.......run t-the red l-light." I tried not to cry and failed. My tears fell on his face and he turned, looking at me.
"D-Dont cry....I w-won't be hurting w-where I-I'm going.." I just laughed a little but still cried.
"Yeah, why didn't I think of that?"
Tye smiled a little, but around that time I saw the light in his eyes fading.
"Tye? Tye!? Stay awake please baby!!! Please don't leave me!!" But then all the light in his eyes was gone.
"Nooooo!!" I screamed to the sky. My Tye was dead and I was helpless in that moment. I was too weak. I wiped my tears and sniffed, kissing Tye one last time as paramedics came. My life was over.
