Obsession

I thought I had
Unearthed all His secrets
To realize I was just
Scratching the surface

Time revealed so much about Him
I couldn't take
But every little detail
Was something I couldn't hate

As the being
Behind the façade was finally revealed
To claim my love for Him
Was what I urgently appealed

For He was my sole guardian
His words, my reflection
And I was a mere shadow
Forever cast in His affection.
