On The Run: Mama Drama

After 14 long agonizing hours of driving they finally arrived to their destination, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

"Geez. That took long enough Tay" Arial said waking up from her nap

"I know. But we can stay here for a while cause' the cops won't be on us for a while"

"I know that dummy. But where we finna stay."

"My moms."

"No. We will not be staying with your parents. "

"Its only for a few days. Shit" he mumbled

"Fine." She crossed her arms feeling defeated

They pulled up to Tayshawn's parents house. It was fairly big. Not small or anything.

They walked up to the front and rung the doorbell. Arial had never met Tayshawn's parents, so she was extremely nervous.

"Ta-Tayshawn My baby is home!" Ms.Johnson exclaimed

"Yeah ma. Me and Arial need somewhere to stay for a few days while we go house hunting."

"You tryna bring hoes in my house! Boy you know better"

"She's not a hoe. I been with her since Sophomore year. Stop being so judgmental"

"You think just cause you been with her that long she not a hoe. Boy is you dumb? Hoes aren't good enough for you. "

"Far from dumb. Just in love" Mr.Johnson said walking down the stairs

Arial just stood there in awe. She wanted to defend herself but she didn't want to be rude. But then she thought "fuck it. I will not sit here and be false judged"

"Excuse me. But I am not a hoe. Far from it. Second how would I be a hoe if I'm still a virgin. My mom taught me better. Also if I'm not good enough for your he must not be good enough for you cause you're the one that kicked him out 3 years ago. Now does that make since to you Ms.Johnson? I told you I did not want to come here Tayshawn. I'll sleep in the god damn car. "

"Oh no the hell this bitch didn't just come in my house and disrespect me!"

"Janet. She's right. You're trying to tell Tayshawn what is and isn't good for him but yet YOU kicked him out cause he sold drugs. Not to remind you but I sold drugs at his age to. Now you go out there and apologize to that girl. He obviously loves the girl. And she loves him. Now respect their love like our parents did ours."

Janet stood there speechless, she understood everything Michael was saying. So she went out and sincerely apologized to Arial. 

"Its okay Ms.Johnson. I apologize for being disrespectful. I didn't mean to come at you like that. I just. I just don't like to be miss-judged. I'm swallowing a lot of my pride by saying sorry but I really am"

"I accept. I was wrong to. But you and Tay are welcome to stay here as long as you need to. "

"Ok.Thank you, really appreciate it."

Arial got the closure she needed then walked into the house feeling uncomfortable and out of place.

Meanwhile, Tayshawn was upstairs talking to his 16 year old sister, Paris.

"Pookie ! Where You been at boy ! I ain't seen you in forever !"

"Paris. Girl you was raised in tge suburbs, why are you actin so ghetto?"

"I was just kidding. Soooo. Do I have any nieces or nephews yet" She said excitedly

"Hell no. Any knew lil niggas I gotta beat?" He said revealing the overprotective side of him

"Nope. Who's the girl mama was yellin at though?"

"Arial. I been with her since Sophomore year. "

"Zaaammnnn. You pussy-whipped !"

"Naw she won't give it up. She's still a virgin. Well kinda cause she got raped by her uncle when she was 17."

"Dang. What about her parents ?"

"Long story"

"I got time"

"Well her and her moms moved to New York with her Aunty. They moved cause her dad died from cancer. When I met her she hated me. Had a nigga in his feeling. But that just made me try harder to get at her. So finally she talked to me and we was befriends for like a year. But I spilled the beans on my true feelings for her and we got together. Thats when all hell broke loose. Every enemy I had made over the years teamed up and kidnapped me, Arial, and her moms. They wanted Arial to either kill me or her moms. And there was no way around it. Her first instinct was to kill me. But her moms though otherwise. She said to kill her cause we had  to much to live her and she wanted to be with her husband. Arial cried and refused to do it. Then her mom demanded for her to shoot her I said to shoot me, but her mom cut me off. The kidnappers came in and told us she had one day to make her decision or we all die. So that was Arials choice.... We all die. Little did we know,  Arial's mom had untied herself and grabbed the gun while we were sleep. She woke us up and said that god was calling her and she kissed a frantic Arial and spoke something in Spanish that calmed her down. Her last words were to me. Saying she loved me and that I had to promise to her that I would do right by her. I said I promised and she did a prayer then smiled and shot herself. I shed a few tears cause we woulda never been in that predicament if I was more aware of my actions. The kidnappers came back and let us go. Then Arial went into a deep depression. She didn't come to school, she didn't eat, and she didn't talk. She said once she left her room for the first time in 2 weeks her aunts boyfriend was drinking a beer on the couch. She got to the kitchen and got a water. He walked behind her and grabbed her. She kicked and screamed as he dragged her up the stairs. " He paused getting mad all over again.

"He-he pulled off her clothes and raped her. She was a virgin. She said she screamed out my name for help. But I was to busy at school. When he finished he cumed inside her. She screamed cause he didn't even put a condom on. 3 weeks later she found out she was pregnant. At the time I didn't know she got raped. So I thought she cheated and I broke up with her. She carried the baby for 9 months and had it. She took care of it and one day her Aunts boyfriend came in the house and took the baby. He put him in his car and laid him in the back seat. As he drove he lost control of the baby. That's when she came to me and told me everything. I apologized and we got back together. Her aunt got the news of her boyfriend dieing so she committed suicide. Now Arial was out of family. She moved in with me for our senior year. We graduated together and bought a new house. Then I got in trouble with the cops and they tracked me down so I killed them and Arial and I became fugitives and now we're here. So we are on the run."

Paris was now at a loss of words. ..Tayshawn hugged his sister then walked down the stairs. Arial was having a deep conversation about her life with his mom. She told her everything about herself and her and Tayshawn.

Janet absolutely adored Arial. She wanted to be the mother figure in Arial's life. Janet was very surprised of the life that Arial lived. She had already been sorry for her actions earlier but now she was completely regretting it.

Then Janet got up and went to the kitchen. On the way to the kitchen she stopped and whispered in Tayshawn's ear "She's a keeper".

Tay nodded and went to go talk to Arial. She looked like she was in a deep thought. And she was. Arial never cried. Only when her mom, dad, and baby died. She was a strong girl. But even strong people break down right ? She broke down and Tayshawn could read her body language on the reason for her little episode. He picked her up and took her upstairs to his old room. He changed her into one of the t-shirts he had in his drawer. He was starving no doubt, his mom was cooking. But for the whole night he never went downstairs to eat. He held Arial while she cried and he refused to let her her go. He wanted to protect her.  He wanted to keep her safe. He promised Arial's mom he would, he kissed her forehead and she finally went to sleep and he stroked her curly hair until he drifted of into a deep sleep.
