Malia's POV.

*I can feel his eyes on me. He knows where I am. I cautiously look over my shoulder and my gaze meets his cold black eyes. And with that he is in front of me his hand around my neck and pressure tight. As I scoff for air my eyes roll back..*

Once again I wake up screaming. Moments later my light is turned on and I am comforted by my moms warm arms. "I had it again mom." I cry holding onto her as if she was keeping me alive. I have nightmares of that man. The one with black eyes. He looks so familiar.

"Baby I need you to tell me what happened in your nightmare." My mom says looking at me terrified.

I gasp for air almost as if he is still choking me. "Help-" I gasp grabbing my throat and slapping the air around me. My moms eyes go wide and she starts to cry. She grabs her phone calling someone and then puts them on speaker phone and it's as if they are speaking in tongues. I fall unconscious everything around me going black.

*3 days later*

I stretch groaning and rubbing my eyes as in flooded with consciousness. I open my eyes yawning and looking around at the unfamiliar white room I'm in. Almost as if on cue my mom walks in and smiles gently. "Hey baby. Why don't you freshen up and come downstairs. We have some stuff we need to talk about." She says.

I nod and she closes the door leaving. I take a moment to gather my surroundings. I notice a fairly large window and walk over to it looking out. Except instead of seeing houses I see trees and no one. It's almost as if we are on some secluded mountain.

As I open the door and make my way downstairs I take a seat on the couch next to my mom and ask, "What's going on?"

She smiles at me softly and tucks my hair behind my ear. "Oh sweetie. You were unconscious for the last three days." She pauses, "I looked into our houses background and it said that there were past stories of possession. So I figured it was a good time for change. You'll spend the rest of the summer setting up your room and then you'll start school like normal."

I squint my eyebrows trying to absorb the amount of information I was just fed. I take a few deep breaths and shake my head. "Well where did we move to? Like are we still in Seattle?" I ask hoping I'm not too far away from my friends.

She gives me a weak smile, "Not exactly baby. We are in Tahoe now. I thought it'd be a nice change of scenery." I look at her with complete confusion.

I slowly rise and go back upstairs to my new room and decide to think about all this new information. As I close my door and sit on my bed I think about my old friends and all the fun I had. After a brief moment of thinking I decide to make the best of this.

I go downstairs and smile at my mom. "Can I go shopping for stuff to decorate my room?" I plead with puppy dog eyes. She laughs and hands me her card knowing I'll be reasonable. Or at least hoping. "Thanks mom! I love you!" I say giving her a hug and getting in my car. Well my moms car.

As I type in the nearest furniture store I find that it's only ten minutes away. I start the car and turn the radio on hoping there'll be songs I can sing along to. I love singing. When I pull up to the furniture store I notice it is huge. I'm sure it'll have everything I'll need.
