Chapter 1-
9-7-16
This was it. The american dream, cramped into a school with a zero percent chance of actually becoming anything other than a hamburger flipper. At least i have made my way to the high school, which will surely not at all be like the cringy middle school experience, which is the only thing the middle school has to offer. I am new to this high school though, i am an exchange student for many reasons i will never get into. So far the only people who would talk to me is a girl named Eden, who has an obsession with llamas, and a boy named Fox, who fell asleep halfway
during class.
"So where are you from?", asked a yawning, lazy Fox would managed to get up in time before the language arts teacher, who i swear was never introduced to bra's ever in her life, had the pleasure of yelling at him.
I eyed Fox, i guess i have to be friends with someone, this was a start. He had brown hair and green eyes, his skin was pasty white and clear, his teeth almost blinding. "Minnesota, where the sport teams never win, and it's colder than your soul", i answered, as i bit my lip.
He gave me a half smile, leaned closer, whispered in my ear," Oh, but nothing is colder then my soul", he stepped back and winked. His evergreen eyes full of life gave me the chills, it was not human to be so happy.
"Oh", i got up from the desk and stepped on my tip toes to reach his ears, and whispered," but you should know mines is colder", i stepped down.
With this his half smile got full," So Jonson Grey Vause?", he said slowly, one eyebrow higher than the other reading off my notebooks.
"Yes?", i saw awaiting an answer, but he continued reading my notebooks.
"literature test notes...", he was interrupted by a blonde girl with curly hair and blue eyes.
"Is he boring you?", she smiled at me and held out her hand. I looked at her hand awkwardly, realizing i should shake it. She looked at me then at Fox," I'm Eden Philbin", she pointed at Fox,"That idiot is Fox Montu".
"And him?", i pointed at her pencil pouch, which took the shape of a llama.
She picked it up,"That's Phil the llama leader of the llama kind".
"Ah", i said in confusion, i had no way to top that off. I had always been the awkward kid around everyone. Being in a new school didn't seem to change that.
Eden however didn't seem to notice the awkward moment," Made Any friends yet?".
"Yeah, i've made a few". Truthfully, no. I sat back in my desk and let all the noise drown out, they had continued talking to each other. I had notice how close Eden and Fox had been. They had seemed to be close to each other in a way, i guess my real question would be if they were anything more then friends, or if they had been.
I looked at Eden then Fox again. And that's how it hit me. It literally hit me. I spun around in my seat. One of the guys playing catch behind me, managed to hit me in the back of my head. I looked at them without saying a word and they all stopped and looked at me back.
"Well aren't you gonna throw it back?", one of the boy's asked.
For a minute i forgot where i was, i looked at the clock, 3 minutes left. The boy snapped his fingers. "Umm?...what?", i looked around the room and realized there was a ball in front of me. "Sure", i said as i threw the ball back. One of boy's scoffed at me and continued they're game of catch.
"That's Zack", Eden informed me," he's all muscle and brain. Subtract the brain, and anger issues and you'll get Zack".
Fox looked at Eden, raising one eyebrow," Who are we to judge? We all know he has issues, but what we don't know is why he has issues".
Before i could reply to Fox's comment the bell rang. I jumped, theses bells had been louder than the ones i was used too.
Fox chucked when i jumped, he messed with my hair,' Aren't you cute?, let me show you to your next class".
