I've never been so deep before...I thought. "Hey guys? Don't you think we are going a little TOO deep?"
"Um, nah. It's like, five blocks deeper than our normal mine," said Brain as he mined another stone block.
"You're just worried, as usual. Just, be a little less uptight, Watson," said Zoey as she set some iron, coal, and gold in the chest.
"Hey! I'm not uptight!" I shot back.
"Yeah, you are," said Victor as he came down from the rough stairway we built from our normal mine.
I sighed angrily as I chipped away more stone. I'm not uptight...I told myself. No sound but the clanking of pickaxes against stone. "Not uptight," I mumbled.
"Um... Watson?" asked Brian, "You okay?"
"Yeah. I just need some fresh air," I said as I stood up. I really did need fresh air. Sometimes mines made me a little bit annoyed.
I sat on a hill, watching the sunset turn the sky an orange-red color. I knew everyone would be out of the mine soon. Sure enough, I heard the voices of Zoey, Victor, and Brian. I sighed happily as I hopped down to meet them.
"-nd the cave was full of spiders!" I heard Victor say, "So I put a stone wall up as fast as I mined the stone."
"Yeah, that TOTALLY happened," said Zoey sarcastically.
"It did! No lie!" said Victor in defense.
"Are we ready to go home?" I asked.
"Oh, hey Watson!" said Brian, a little bit surprised, "Um, yeah. We're heading back to the village to make some trades."
"Cool. I'll come with," I said as I pulled out some gold and iron.
"HA! You only have some iron and gold!? I have like, fifteen diamonds!" said Zoey as she pulled out a few.
"I could still get some cool stuff from the villagers!" I said quickly.
"Yeah, sure... RACE YA!!!" yelled Zoey as she broke into a full sprint.
The rest of us broke into a sprint as well, each of us trying to beat each other. It was getting close to night, so I was sprinting partly because monsters were gonna come out soon. Eventually, we reached the village. Zoey was just standing and the entrance smirking. All of us were red-faced and dripping sweat. Zoey chuckled as she passed the two iron golems.
"She is WAY to fast for me," said Victor as he entered the village.
Brian and I entered the village as soon as we regained our breath. We went around, knocking on doors for trades. Brian traded twenty seven iron for a chainmail helmet. He looked pretty good in it, but it only raised his armor bar two armor points.
"I don't care if it's weak. It looks cool!" he said.
I traded all my gold and iron for three golden carrots and a golden apple. With that stuff, I could finally make a special potion that I was working on. But it would have to wait for tomorrow. The moon was peeking through the trees, so I hurried back to my house and slept.
