Today is the day, ladies and gents! It's my one year aniversary with Josh, and to say I'm excited is an understatement. I'm planning on using the key to his house to surprise him. I'm sure he's going to like it.

I get out of my car, dusting off the cute and casual dress and checking my brown curled hair. I grab the red teddy bear and chocolates from the passenger seat of my car before walking up to the door and looking for the key under the mat. I find it and unlock the door.

I tip-toe up the stairs leading up to his room, feeling extremely jittery. Since this is my first time doing something like this, I had planned on making it a little more simple, sure not to overdo it. I take a deep breath as I arrive at his bedroom door. Before my hand reaches the handle, I hear a moan come from the other side of the door. My eyebrows furrow as I push open the door.

On his bed, Josh was on top of a girl on his bed, kissing her passionately as he touched her. I couldn't move a muscle as my mind finally caught up with what I was seeing. I was frozen and I knew I wouldn't be able to look away.

They finally pull away, and that's when the girl sees me, before pushing Josh off of her. He looks confused until he looks up and sees me. My expression was dead, but on the inside, I was boiling with anger.

"Happy one year anniversary, Josh," I say, throwing the watch box at him before storming out of his room. I hear Josh muttering things under his breath before I hear footsteps following me down the stairs.

"Haleigh, please," he says. "Let me explain myself here!"

"No," I say turning to him. "You don't get to do shit, Josh. You know why? Because you're freaking cheating on me on our anniversary! That maximizes the negativity of the situation by a hundred!"

"Haleigh, I'm sorry," Josh says as I walk out the front door.

"So am I," I yell at him as I open my car door.

I turn the key in the ignition and pull out of the drive way, trying my hardest not to cry. I hit the steering wheel as I stop at a red light. Damn him. How could he do that to me? On such a significant day on that note?

Once I get home, I pull into the driveway and storm inside into my room, falling on my bed.

"Honey what's wrong?" I hear my mother's voice as the bed sinks next to me.

I look up from my pillow and the tears begin to pour down my face again as I explain. Her once worried faced is now filled with anger. I look at her, scared of what she might do. Her eyes soften once she sees my expression.

"Haleigh, he doesn't deserve a beautiful and sweet girl like you. If you weren't as kind-hearted towards people, I would be beating his ass right now."

She's serious, but there's a hint of humor within her words. I hug her for a few more moments before she gets up and leaves my room, shutting the door behind me.

I pull out my phone and start a group message with my friends Alex, Emma, Victoria, and Hannah.

'Josh cheated on me' -Haleigh

'OMG! I'm so sorry Haleigh!' -Emma

'Me too. You know what would cheer you up? Ice cream. I'll get some and head over now' -Alex

'Yeah! Me and Hannah can get it, Alex. The grocery store is on the way there' -Victoria

'Yeah me and V will get ice cream and meet you over there!' -Hannah

'Cookies'n'Cream please' -Haleigh

'Cookie dough:)' -Alex

'Red Velvet!' -Emma

'K! We'll be over there soon!' -Victoria

After that I put on what I considered breakup clothes, consisting of a sweatshirt, sweatpants and my bunny slippers. I put my hair into a messy bun and keep a crapload of tissues by me. I get on Instagram for a while and realize I haven't unfollowed Josh. I unfollow AND block the bastard.

Just as I head downstairs, there's a knock on the door. I open it and see Alex and Emma. Alex is wearing a T-shirt and sweatpants and Emma is wearing a long sleeve pink top with pajama pants with cupcakes on them. I can't help but laugh at my diverse group of friends.

I run over to them and hug them like there's no tomorrow.

Alex growls. "Haleigh Amanda Williams, I love you and understand you're hurt, but you better get your touchy feely butt away from me before I go ninja on your ass!"

I raise my hands in surrender as I back away slowly and cautiously. Just as I get a safe distance away from Ms. No Touchy, The Dynamic Duo busts through the door with a bunch of ice cream in their arms.

"The fun has arrived! Thank ya very much!" They shout, using the Elvis gun point. Oh movie lines.

"Oh! By the way, there is more ice cream in the car." Victoria says as she grins at me.

We unload all the ice cream and put it in the freezer. I run to Victoria and Hannah and hug them tightly.

"We're so sorry, Haleigh!" They say in unison, once again. Victoria and Hannah are fraternal twins, but they always manage to think alike.

"Let's forget that loser!" Vicki says, cheering me up.

"Yeah let's forget the messed up motherfu-" I put my hand over Hannah's big mouth before she can finish.

"Hannah, my mom's home! She'll hear you with her super mom hearing!" I whisper yell.

"Oopsies! It slipped?" she says, more like a question than a statement, and shrugs innocently.

"Mhm." I say with my hands on my hips.

"Let's have a movie marathon!" Emma says, snapping my eyes away from Hannah. I hear Hannah let out a sigh of relief as I turn from her.

We go into the movie room and put in out favorite movie of all time...

WHITE CHICKS!!

We have our movie marathon until 12:30, and when we watch Gremlins there was a guy being killed by one of the green monsters.

"When I see that man I see Josh. Good Gremlins! Get 'em boys! Get him, Spike!" Everyone laughs. Well, mostly everyone. Alex just shakes her head and chuckles at my stupidity.

The next moment, all of them are asleep, ice cream around their mouths, making me laugh. I yawn and feel my eyes get heavy, and drift off into a deep sleep.

I wake up to giggling. I look up and see the girls on the couch watching The Bachelor. I laugh to myself.

"What the hell do you think you're doing watching this without me?!" I joke.

"We didn't want to wake you up because you'll just punch us and go back to sleep!" Emma says, giving me a pointed look while the other girls nod in agreement.

"Touché," I say. They had a point. I usually wake up on my own, and when someone wakes me up, they know to stay at a safe distance.

"Hey! We should get something to eat from Starbucks and have a day of shopping! We have school tomorrow and we're all single! Let's dress to impress!" I say. I look at Emma and I can tell she still isn't really into guys yet. I add, "Or we can just make all the other girls totes jelly!" Emma looks up and smiles evilly.

"Let's go shopping, girls."

***

After hours of shopping, we head back to my house and the girls get their cars and drive home.

I wash my clothes so I can wear some of them tomorrow for school. It's going to be hard to avoid Josh, but I've got my friends.

After going through my nightly routine of showering, laying out my clothes and listening to soft music, I fall into a yet another deep sleep.
