Like a stereotypical horror story, this night had been dark and gloomy. This was the night that everything changed. Mainly everything I believed in. Because bad things weren't suppose to happen to good people, right? I'll start from when it all began. My name is Sunny, and this is my story....

I had been asleep, keyword being 'had'. It wasn't until I felt a cold, clammy hand on my calf did I completely wake up. I shot up in my bed and throw the covers off. There's nothing there, yet I can still feel it. It's just a ghost of a feeling, as if whatever had been there disappeared. I conclude that it must have been a very vivid dream or my imagination running wild.

I'm not sure how, but I manage to fall back asleep through all the thunder and rain pounding against the roof, and one of the creepiest feelings ever. The feeling is hard to describe. It's almost as if I'm being watched, but I'm positive that I'm just imagining things again. It's a new house, it's suppose to feel like that at first. Right? Well, it's an old Victorian house, but it's new for us. For my family.

When I wake up it takes a moment for me to open my eyes and adjust them, but they don't seem to be adjusting. That's when I begin to panic. Am I blind? No, that isn't the case. It's hard for me to describe it. I can see, yet it's too dark for me to see anything, but I know that if there was a sliver of light that I would be able to. And I'm not laying on my lumpy mattress anymore. I'm laying on cold, damp stone. It's deathly quiet, my increased breathing the only sound I can hear, along with my heart pounding in my ears. I stand up carefully, my hands sliding across the slimy wall. I miraculously find a light switch and flip it. Light comes on and I realize that I'm in our basement. Wait...the realtor said there wasn't a basement. So where am I? Whose basement am I in?

I have yet to figure any of these questions out.

If you're reading this, it means I never figured out how to escape. It means that I'm dead, and you're next.
