Yesterday we were warned. They told us to pack up everything we had and because we would be leaving. Forever. Of course we didn't believe them, we didn't want to at least. No one slept easily, we wouldn't have any way because tomorrow would have been our first day of high school. My family and I woke up to a pounding on our front door. They were right. "You have 5 minutes to grab your belongings and get in the truck." A police officer demanded. Out of fear, I ran up to my room to pack everything I might need. While I was shoving things in suitcases, it hit me that I'll never see my family ever again. Tears were pouring down my face. The officer was yelling from downstairs. I guess my 5 minutes were up. He stormed upstairs, angrily grabbed my suitcases, and stormed out. Everything was so rushed, I said a quick goodbye to my family. My 7 year old brother Devon looked at me with sad eyes. He was old enough to know I won't be coming back. We fight a lot but he's my brother. And now that I'm gonna be gone I won't be able to protect him and give him advice for whatever he might need. I trudged onto the bus and looked into the sad eyes of other people. I sat in an isolated seat. I put in my headphones and tuned the world out.
