It was three and a half years ago, I was in a children's home with girls around my age. That's when I reconnected with my grandma here in Washington state also, I reconnected with my dad back in Minnesota as well. Well in September of 2012 was when i started reconnected with my grandma by email that was the best day of my life when i get to see in two months.
It was in November of 2012 when she came to the children's home in St.Cloud Minnesota. We hung out together and went shopping and went out to eat. It was the best few days with her. We had a meeting with my social worker about coming out to Washington for christmas for two weeks. The trip was accepted by my social worker and that was the first time I flew by myself in an airplane. It was scary but I got over it. Then I went back to the children's home for a few more months. Then March 14,2013 was when I came to live with my grandparents it was so exciting to come and live here in Washington.
A few more days and then I came here to school at John C. Thomas. I was a little shy to meet new people it was the most interesting day. That's when I met my best friend that is my best friend till this day her name is Makaila she's been with me since day one of my first day of school. Here in Cathlamet Washington state.
Everyone who was there on my first day. Was very welcoming they opened up they ask me where I was from and I said Minnesota and they didn't believe that but it's true i'm a true Minnesota girl. The first few weeks here my grandma thought I was crazy because I was wear shorts because it's a 20 degree difference here then it is back in Minnesota.
The people here at Wahkiakum school district was very open when they introduce themselves. There was one person that had a very good welcoming was Lucas Brown he said " Welcome to John C. Thomas middle school" it was very welcoming to me. That same day they were doing a project in science. Everyone was like join this group or this group so i went and joined Jacob McCoy, Katie, and Dan's group.
