I smile to myself and put my hand over Gary's.
-few months later-
Its christmas eve, me and Gary have been keeping our secret for a few months now, people keep asking if I'm pregnant and theres been a few pictures of me and Gary in the paper. Me and Gary are putting our decorations on our christmas tree, i look up at Gary who has some of our decorations around his neck. I look down at my dress where my tiny unnoticeable bump is, Gary wraps his arm around me as we cuddle up on the sofa, Gary holding a glass of wine and me with a glass of water. Gary has got into the habit of placing his large hands on my small bump, as we watch the christmas film Gary spreads his large fingers across my tummy "i cant wait to tell everyone tomorrow, a little christmas surprise" Gary leans down and kisses my dress where underneath our baby is growing "i cant wait to start buying things, this is perfect Gaz" "what do u think it will be?" "dunno , as long as its healthy i don't mind" "imagine if it was twins" Gary says excitedly "calm down gaz, iv never seen this film before" i giggle. the film finishes, we make our way to bed and lay talking for a while, "night gaz" "night babe love u. na night to u little one, daddy's hasn't forgot u.. i love u too" Gary pulls up my top and kisses my tummy, he is the sweetest. Gary lays down and i bend over to turn off my lamp when our door opens, but no one comes in. "auntie hannon..." my little niece Lucy whispers "Lucy what u doing out of bed eh? U have to go to sleep so santa can come." "Scary monster making noises from bed" "come in beside me and uncle Gary" i hold out my arms for Lucy and she willingly runs to me, i lay Lucy between me and Gary and turn off the light. "whoossss little feet can i feel" Gary whispers a bit loud so Lucy can hear him, i see Lucy placing her small hands over her mouth so Gary doesn't hear her giggle, Gary grabs her little feet "Hmm who's feet is thats? its not Molly's, or mine.. is it mine? Nooooo.... its lucysssss" Gary softly tickles Lucy's tummy as she lays with her back against Gary's chest like i do. i chose the right guy to have a baby with.
-next day-
Our family and the boys came over early to wake us up on christmas morning and spend it with us, Me and Gary wrote a card addressed to our parents which read : dear nana and papa, iv been growing for 8 weeks inside mummy's tummy now, iv been making her sick in the morning, i gave mummy a fright when she started to bleed, I'm fine i wanted mummy and daddy to see me. Mummy and daddy have found it hard to keep me as a surprise, they've known for a few weeks. I'm still really small just now but mummy has a little bump from me. i hope iv made xmas better for you, and i promise I'm fine. Love baby Barlow xxx
We put the copy's of the scan photo inside and went downstairs, everyone was in the livingroom, me and Gary gave our parents the cards. my mum read it out and started to cry, Gary's parents and my parents hugged each other then me and Gary "let us see ur bump then" Gary's mum Julie announced, i lifted up my pyjama top and showed everyone my little baby bump, Gary placed his hand on my small bump and grinned proudly at everyone, Gary sat next to his mum and gave her a hug "I'm gonna have my own family mum, are u happy for me?" "of course i am!!! my first grandchild, as long as your happy, I'm happy. congratulations son. I'm so proud of u" Gary's mums eyes start to well up at the thought of a gran child. bless her. i was sitting on the floor because there was no more space on the couch, Lucy sat on my knee, she pulled up my top and touched my bump "abyy?" "yeah Lucy theres a little baby in there" i grin catching Gary smiling at me and Lucy. Lucy points at Gary "arys aby?" "yeah its Gary's baby and mine" "howw it be in u tummy?" Lucy looks at me confused "emmm... I'll tell u when your older" i awkwardly giggled
