(Lorna's POV)
The cool rain trickles down my back, seeping through my clothes, just like the hopelessness and sadness that's threatening to engulf me..
"Mother, where are you?" I whisper to the wet trees. No answer.
I have never wanted to reverse time more. I wish I could go back in time and stop Mom from going to work on that day. But then again, if I could reverse time, I would start my whole life over and prevent Dad from being in that car crash. That's not the case, though. I learned wishing won't get you anywhere.
I also learned that Aunt Mary doesn't like it when I aren't home in time for dinner.
I squint at my watch. It's really hard to make out the small, faintly glowing green numbers in this downpour. Does that say 6:30? I think.
Oh no. I am in trouble now.
END OF CHAPTER ONE! I hope you liked it! Sorry it's a really short chapter, but I was just starting it off. Fine, I'll admit it, I was hungry. Tell me what you think of the story so far!
