Somehow feeling more exhausted then when I fell asleep, my eyes adjusted to the light as I flinched awake.

Shaky, I got up and ran my hands over more water to heal the new collection from the pavement.

It was always curious to me how I could never remember that it's a dream until I wake up, it always feels way too real to be a dream, or nightmare.

But it was always the same, always the same feelings. It was exhausting somehow, dreaming the same thing over and over again, never remembering until you wake up.

Yawning, I went down to a local Starbucks and quickly ordered a late night coffee, something I had taken too since my first few weeks of no sleep.

Only this time there was banging to my right side as I walked back to the place I called home. I instantly stopped short and stared at the alleyway where the noise was coming from.

Thankfully it was dark and while yes, there were people, there aren't as many like there are when it's daylight.

Still staring at the alley, I inched my way in to find some sort of golden glow that quickly stopped glowing.

More curious than anything I walked toward the prone figure that was on the ground of the alley. Feeling my lips curl, it was a man, younger than Tony but maybe a bit older than the Maximoff twins.

I walked over to him uncertain of rather he was playing Possum or was actually knocked out by something.

Feeling less confident, I knelt beside the person and with shaky hands, felt for a pulse. I felt chest lighten, he was breathing and it was the steady kind where they are asleep.

Now what am I going to do now?

Now that I knew he was asleep I took the time to really look over the guy, it was weird. He was wearing this golden plated armor under some sort of green royal clothes.

It made me wonder why this guy who was obvious from some sort of wealth, would be sleeping in an alleyway.

That made me freeze, what exactly was I doing compared to this guy?

I mean, we both have wealthy people from the looks of it, and here he was sleeping in an alley....Okay maybe we aren't so different.

Still looking at his weird clothing I moved to get a better look at his face, it was hard to tell because there wasn't much light out, but from I could tell he had black hair like me.

He was Caucasian from what I could also tell, but pale, not use to seeing sunlight. Along with that was some weird golden wiring around his mouth.

Wait....no not around, in his mouth, woven from lip to lip making it sealed shut. Now why would someone do that to another human being?

Frowning I somehow just knew I couldn't leave the man like this now, looking over for any injuries, and then looking around for anyone out of the ordinary.

I carefully called about my despised water powers, they lifted the man gently up and toward the roof of the alley that lead somewhat to my house.

Part of my froze, should I take him there? Whatever, he was injured and I'm not spending the night in an alley waiting for him to wake up.

Moving from roof to roof so no one really saw me, I carefully allowed the water to let me down gently along with the man.

I moved him into the place that I had been asleep for the past week, carefully setting him down I waved my hand and the water was gone.

Now that he was here I felt unsure, now what? But I somehow already knew that I needed to get that wire-thingy out of his mouth, just what was with that glow anyway?

Frowning I carefully looked at the piece and saw that there was a tiny knot to the right side of his lip, where it was tired together, but it was so small that I think I actually have to just the wire and carefully pull it out of his mouth.

Still disturbed on why someone would do this, I exited my house quickly and made my way to a small shop and paid for scissors with what was left of my money, I guess tomorrow is going to be one of those Pick-Pocket days.

Hurrying back, I felt a bit happy to know the man was still asleep as I carefully worked on the guys woven shut mouth.

The thread was difficult, like it was made of steel and not rope. I glared at it and suddenly it just snipped itself...okay that was weird.

Not wasting time I carefully took out the piece of golden rope before it was all out, I didn't know what to do with it now.

Part of me wanted to throw it away, but deeper down some part told me that it would be bad if I let it out of my sight where anyone could grab it.

Knowing my instincts were always correct, I stuffed the piece in my pocket and then worked on my notes for the Avengers on their postcards that I would give them in the morning.

All was still during the night, the man had yet to wake up despite me trying to before I left to go relieved the cards and grab a cupcake and a single candle.
