We'll Prove Them Wrong

Hey guys!!!! So this is my first story and i really hope for a few people to read it and if i see that people are reading it... i will keep writing. If you have any suggestions just inbox me cause i need all the help i could get.

I woke up hearing my alarm clock going off. I look at the time and its 5:30 am so I quickly run into the bathroom, brush my teeth and throw my hair into a loose ponytail. When i step out of the bathroom, I change into my blue running shorts, my yellow tank top and my running shoes. I quietly left my room trying not wake up my mom or older brother up. I reached the kitchen and grabbed my ipod out of the charger and put it in my pocket along with my phone.I wasn't usually this late but today is the first day back from summer vacation, so i overslept.

When i step outside, I feel the cool winds hit my face and I stand there taking it all in. I placed the headphones in my ear and looked through it searching for the right play-list with my faorite bands in it. I started to jog down the block going on my normal route around my neighborhood. About two houses away from mine I noticed that the for sale sign that has been there for 2 years has finally been taken down. I was shocked but i kept jogging trying to clear my mind of everything.

When i got home it was 6:30 and my mom and older brother, Alex, were in the kitchen.

"Hey Elena, how was your run???? I turned to my mother and smiled at her.

"It was great mom, just what i needed to start of the day!"

"Great!.... Oh! I forgot to tell you that I am going to be leaving for a business trip today so you and Alex will be on your own for a little while............"

"How long is a little while mom?" i frowned at her and tried not to keep eye contact with her to show my displeasure.

"Two weeks and I really am sorry but you know i need this job." I saw her shift uncomfortably in her seat at the mention of money and keeping us afloat. My father left when I was born so i never actually met him. My mom told me the story about him leaving because he didn't love us and wanted nothing to do with us. I always try not to think that someone can be that cruel and think about the positives, like my mom. My mom is very laid back and not very demanding.I love my mom, but at times i just want to shut everyone out including her... My life is just so annoying and ordinary.

I am one of those shy kids who doesn't usually let others in. I have 3 best friends and we are extremely close. My best friends are Samantha (she hates Samantha so we call her Sam), Carly and Ally. Sam is a tall blond with curly hair and green eyes; Carly is a short brunette with brown eyes; Lastly Ally is a tall red- head with brown eyes. Along with them i have my best guy friend Jake, he is pretty popular and according to all girls in the school he is at the top of the hot chart. Jake always shakes off the drooling girls and hangs with us. Jake has shaggy blond hair, green eyes and has a six pack from playing football. My friends are amazingly gorgeous and i have no idea why they hang out with me. I'm a short brunette with naturally pin straight hair and blue eyes. I'm so... ugh... ordinary .......

I walk into the bathroom and take a hot shower before getting into my outfit for the day. I'm looking through my draws at all my clothes and I pull out a pair of ripped jeans, a plain white v-neck and my pull over All Time Low sweatshirt. I grabbed my converse on the way out of my room and ran out of my room out to my car.

I pulled up to the school ten minutes later and was immediately pulled into my friends giant embrace.

"Hey Elena! We missed you so much!!!!!"

" I missed you to Sam! It's been way to long.... Just kidding i saw you yesterday!" We both broke out into laughter as Carly, Ally and Jake made their way over to us.

" Hey guys!!! What's up!!!" i greeted my friends but instead of an answer I got pulled into a giant group hug.

" Hey guys love you to!" I said trying to regain my breath. Just then the warning bell went off and we started to head to first period." Ready to start another year of pain... yayy senior year!!!!"
