Walking home from my boyfriends house was hell. I was absolutely freezing and I of course decided to wear barely anything on the day the temperature finally began to drop. My hair was all over the place as the wind blew against me making me groan in frustration.
It is early fall; leaves have started to sprawl all over the place, the sky is mostly gray these days, and the trees were naked. I also liked fall though, the smell and the pretty colors always grabbing my attention. I love summer of course, being free from school and swimming all the time. But being able to bundle up in layer upon layers (even though it makes me chubby) is my favorite thing.
I check my phone for the time, reading ten twenty five. I have five minutes till I'm late for curfew. I shove my phone into my pocket and began jogging. I hated jogging and running, but I couldn't get in trouble for being late. Not since my parents already don't approve of my boyfriend and they would only dislike him more.
As I reach a stop sign, I look both ways to see if any cars were coming. When the coast was clear, I began to walk across out of of breath. Suddenly out of no where, I see bright lights zooming down the street in my direction. I ran foreword to dodge the vehicle only to find that it was still coming at me. Who ever was driving must be crazy.
I still tried to run as fast as I can but the car was obviously going way to fast for me to get away. As I heard it coming closer, I screamed and tried to get out of the way. As I did, I look back to find the car completely on it's side.
I cover my mouth with my hands completely shaking. I debate whether or not to see who was in it as I reached for my phone to dial 911. At this point, I could careless if I was late.
As I began to dial 911, I see someone out the corner of my eye to the left. I turn toward them to see what looked like a teenage boy or man in his early twenties.
"Are you alright?" He calls out. I nod my head.
"Yes. You saw that right?" I ask, pointing to the car in front of us. He came closer, nodding his head. He looked about my age. He had bright hazel eyes and I couldn't tell if they were more green or brown. His hair was thick and spiked up, with a few small strands of blonde going through.
"How about you call your parents and I'll call 911, yeah?" He says. I nod my head thanking him as I call my mom. I look back to see the guy on the phone with the police explaining the situation.
"Blakely Grace Hill, where in the world are you? Are you aware of what time it is?" She asks in a low harsh voice. I'm sure she is trying to keep quiet from my dad.
"Yes, ma. I was on my way home from Brandens house when a car came at me and literally tried to hit me. Like I tried to dodge it and everything. Then all of a sudden I look back and it's on it's side." I explain pressing my fingers to my temples. I hear my mom gasp before asking where I am so she could pick me up. After explaining, she hangs up and tells me she'll be here in five.
"The police should be here soon." The guy say. I almost completely forgot he was there. I whip back around and nod with a smile.
"Thank you. I was completely freaking out I didn't know what to do." I tell him.
"I'm glad you're okay. I checked to see who it was, the man driving is out cold right now in the drivers seat." He explains.
"I don't know why he was trying to hit me." I say, furrowing my brows in confusion as I thought about it. He nods his head and places his hands in his tight jeans.
I fold my arms over my chest as I shiver from the cold, mentally cussing myself out for not wearing a jacket. I was caught off guard when I feel a heavy weight being placed on my shoulders.
