Killua x Arekkusu (Hunter x Hunter/ Fairy Tail Crossover)

Chapter 1: Where am I?

I'm surrounded by darkness. Where am I? Who am I? What am I?  Do I have a purpose? I see something bright, it makes me feel warm and safe, is this light? 

I jolted forward, breathing heavily and clutching my chest. I looked around the room I was in, there wasn't much in it, just a rug, a desk and a bed. Then, I heard someone approaching the room, I quickly pulled the duvet over my head and lay under it quietly, scared. The door swung open and the person approached the bed. They pulled the duvet off me and then they spoke, "Oh good! You're awake!" Their voice was gentle so I calmed down a little. "Are you feeling alright?" I sat up and nodded, before looking the person up and down. It was a female, with an abnormally large chest and blonde hair. "I'm Lucy! It's nice to meet you!" The blonde said. I looked up again and smiled. "N-Nice to meet you too" I said shyly. "I-I don't think I have a n-name"

"Why don't you choose one then?" Lucy suggested. "I-I'd like it if you chose it for me i-instead" I said, almost inaudibly. Lucy thought for a moment, "How about Arekkusu? It's a cute name" "I-I like it... Arekkusu... from today on, I-I'm Arekkusu" I smiled. "Oh that reminds me! These are your's" Lucy handed me a pair of thick-rimmed glasses. I put them on and looked around. Ah, so that's why everything was blurry, I needed my glasses. 

"So do you remember anything from before you woke up?" Lucy asked. "N-No, at least not at the moment" I replied. "Hmm... Mirajane found you knocked out outside the guild this morning, you were in pretty bad shape" The blonde recalled. "Guild? Mirajane?" I was utterly confused. "Yeah a guild is---" Lucy was interrupted by a loud crash, followed by a voice, "NATSU! GIVE ME BACK MY UNDERWEAR!" Lucy laughed sheepishly, "Why don't I show you the guild instead?" She beckoned for me to follow before walking out the door. I stood at the door and looked around. There were tables flying across the room and lots of people were fighting, it was very noisy and was giving me a headache. "And this is our guild" Lucy grinned. 

I stood at the doorway awkwardly, not sure what to think. "I-It's very rowdy" I mumbled. Lucy nodded, "It's always like this, but they all mean well" "W-What's a guild for?" I asked. "Ah! It's where mages gather to find work. There are lots of guilds but the one we're all a part of is called Fairy Tail" Lucy explained. "I'm sure you already know this but, everyone in this guild knows how to use magic, we are mages after all!" "I-I understand a little better now" I said.  Lucy turned to me, "So you really don't remember anything from before you woke up?" "N-Nothing at all... a-although, I feel as if there're lots of important things that I've f-forgotten. I have no idea where I'm f-from, w-who my parents are, if I had any friends... I don't know who I-I am" I stuttered. 

Lucy smiled brightly, "Don't worry about all that! You'll remember soon enough I'm sure! For now though, you can stay at the guild and learn magic!" "R-Really?! Th-thank you! I doubt I'll be any good at using magic though..." "Don't think like that! Have some more faith in yourself!" said Lucy, "I'll teach you magic myself, in fact, from today on I'll be your big sis! Ah this is so great, I've always wanted a little sister!" "U-Um Lucy" I said, but she didn't notice, she was too busy rambling on about how happy she was to have a "little sister" now. I decided to just go along with it, it couldn't be too bad right? 

"O-Okay big sis! W-When do I start my m-magic lessons?" I asked. Lucy immediately snapped out of it and grabbed my hand, "As soon as you join the guild!" she exclaimed. She dragged me over to a woman. The woman was wearing a pinkish-red dress and had white hair, despite the fact that she was young. "This is Mirajane, she's the one who found you outside the guild, Mirajane, this is Arekkusu" said Lucy. "Hello! It's nice to meet you Arekkusu!" Mirajane said cheerfully. "Nice t-to meet you too" I said quietly. "She's joining the guild Mira!" Lucy chirped. "Ah so you're joining the guild!" Mirajane then cupped her hands around her mouth. "MASTER! WE'VE GOT A NEW MEMBER!" A little old man with a white moustache scurried over to us. "Is this the new member?" He pointed at me, to which I nodded. 

"Welcome to the guild, I'm the guild master, my name's Makarov" He introduced himself before stamping the guild's logo on my hand. "S-So that's it?" I asked Mirajane. "Nope" She simply replied. "LISTEN UP BRATS!!!" The master boomed, "THIS IS OUR NEW MEMBER, TREAT HER WITH RESPECT!" I shifted uncomfortably as everyone looked at me. "H-Hello, n-nice to meet you e-everyone, I-I'm Arekkusu" I stammered. A few members smiled at me before going back to what they were doing. I was blushing profusely, "That was so embarrassing!" Lucy chuckled, "They won't even remember that after a little while, anyways, let's get started with your magic lessons, com'on outside!" We went outside and I looked around, the guild seemed to be in the centre of a town. 

"Alright!" Lucy grabbed my attention. "Before you start learning how to use magic, you're gonna have to know what exactly magic is" she began. "All magic originates from "the one magic" which is the original source of magic. Magic is the physical form of your spirit, if you want to learn magic you must train your intellect and spirit, but if your mind is frail the magic can take over and destroy you. Everyone can use magic, as everyone has magic power inside them that's composed from ethernano, although, only about ten percent of the population can actually use magic" Lucy explained. "Woah, you really know a lot about magic" I was slightly taken aback. 

"Do you kinda get the gist of what it is?" Lucy asked, and I nodded. "Okay firstly, meditate for a little bit and see if you can feel the magic building up inside you" "A-Alright" I crossed my legs and closed my eyes. I could feel something, but it was just hunger. After a while however, I did feel something building up inside me. "I feel something" I said. "Try releasing it!" Lucy encouraged. I held out a hand and a small tree sprouted in my palm. "U-Uh was that supposed to happen?" I asked. "That was great! You're doing well!" The blonde chirped. 

It soon got dark, and we decided to call it a day. Lucy and I headed back inside, and by then most of the guild members had went home. "You can stay at my house tonight" Lucy said. "Thanks Lucy!" I chimed, I had warmed up to the older female. 

Lucy lived in an apartment close to the guild. It was nicely decorated and tidy. Lucy led me to a room, "You can sleep here tonight" "Ah thank you Lucy" I replied. "Okay, goodnight Arekkusu!" Lucy chirped before closing the door.

I stood in front of mirror that stood in the corner of the room. "So that's what I... look like" I had blue hair that went to about my shoulders in length and turquoise eyes. I was wearing thick-rimmed glasses, and judging by my height and shape, I was about fourteen years old. I was wearing a frilly white skirt, a black t-shirt and black boots. There wasn't anything too extraordinary about my appearance, I looked like an average, plain fourteen year old. 

I flopped onto my bed and stared up at the ceiling. "I still don't know who I am, I have a very plain personality and that's about all I know... I have no memories of anything before today... I wonder if anyone misses me" I said before drifting off to sleep.
