"No, he didn't know,"

"Hell, it's not in my plan to let him know,"

"Alright, I'll just take your advise if worst came to worst, but for now, it's a big no,"

So Johnny is hiding something. Is he hiding something from me? I decided to act like I heard nothing.

"Hey, hon. Where's Tony?" I asked

"Oh, how long have you been there?" He asked mot even answering my question.

"Just now. Jimmy said you're here with Tony so I came to fetch him," I said

"Oh. Tony was here but he ran with his friend. They're planning on opening their gifts," he said

"Aren't you going inside? It's already dark, you'll catch flu," I said

"You worry too much, babe. I'll go inside after you. I have to make this call, promise." Johnny swears with his pinky.

"Fine, don't forget to bring me flowers," I said before leaving him there alone.

=======================================================

The party's over and almost everyone made their way home. Johnny slept early because his work needs him there early. It was 10 in the evening when I look into our children's room, there I heard them talking about something that I never expect.

"Jimmy, Mikey asked me something that I can't answer, maybe you know his question." Tony starts

"And that is?" Tony asked. I'm about to tell them it's past their bedtime but I mpam intrigued with my son's curiosity.

"Where is our mommy?" Tony asked which makes me gasp for air.

"What mommy?" Jimmy asked

"The one who wakes us up in the morning, takes care when we are sick, cooks breakfast, that's what mommies do, like what Mikey told me." He answered back

"That was our Dada doing those things," Jimmy said blankly

"Yes, but he said it was mommies who do those things,"

"Should we ask Dada if we have mommy?" Jimmy asked

I guess, it's time for them to know. My kids were smart and I know they'll understand.

"It's past your bedtime, munchkins. What makes you awake this time?" I asked.

"Dada.."

"Come on. Your making me worry. Wait, I forgot to give you your presents. Let's go to the garden," I said

"But Dada, it's already dark. We're scared," Tony said

"But you have Dada. I wanna show you something," I said. I dragged them to the garden where my tent was.

"Ta Da! We are having a star gazing night," I surprise them, seriously.

"Woah! Dada, are we sleeping here?" Jimmy asked excitedly.

"Will we burn marshmallows and eat them? Like in the movies?" Tony asked

"Yes, we will. Don't be too loud okay? Granny might wake up," I told them where I get two little nods as a yes.

We were laying on our tent hoping for a shooting star to cross the sky, when Jimmy asked something,

"Dada, why is that star alone, does it feel lonely?"

"Oh, that star? I guess no, baby, because it knows that even in the darkest night, there were stars out there, only covered by the thick clouds. And he have Mr. Moon by it's side so I guess he was not lonely," I replied

"Dada, do we have a mommy?" Tony asked.

"No, baby. I am sorry to say but no, you only have Dada and Papa. Do you want to know why?" I asked

"Yes, we want to," the twin replied

"Well babies, me and your Papa, we are not like other families. I don't know if you observed it, but some families were composed of a Daddy and a Mommy. In our case, it's Dada and Papa. You don't have a mommy because me and Papa are both boys. Mommy is a term for a parent that is a girl, so there's no Mommy." I said using the term boys and girls because I think they were too young for the man and a woman thing.

"But you wakes us up every morning, cooks breakfast, do what a mommy do, so you are our mommy?" Jimmy asked

"Is that how you see me munchkin? Haha, but me and Papa took turns when it comes to raising the both of you, for our munchkins to be a good citizen of our country," I said smiling

"Dada, does our family being different the reason why sometimes, when we go somewhere, they're looking at us and they're whispering?" Tony asked

"Yes, Tony, but never mind those people. We didn't do anything bad to them, so we have no reason to hide. They looked at our family like that because like I said, we are somehow, different, but in a good way."

"So Dada, you are a boy, but acts like our mommy?" Jimmy asked

"Funny, munchkin. I am a boy, who "sometimes" act like a mommy because..." Oh my, I lost my thought. I hate to admit it but yeah, I act like the "girl" one in our relationship though we don't put any labels on it.

"because?" Jimmy asked again.

"because... I love you kiddos and will do everything for the both of you. You are our treasures and we love to see you become good young boys," I said. "So should I prepare our marshmallow?" I asked to change the topic.

"Yes, Dada. Yehey! Marshmallow! Marshmallow!"

"Pssh.. quiet. I'll be back in a jiffy, okay?"

I ran to the kitchen to get the marshmallow and some sticks. I also bring the lighter for our mini camp.

On my way back, I am relieved that my kids took that well. I am not sure but they seem okay in my answers.

When I am near the tent, I was attacked by two little bears who cuddled and kissed me.

"Thank you for this wonderful present, Dada. We love you," and they kissed me again. Oh kids. How lucky can we be having two adorable kids.
