*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
I wake up to my alarm going off like crazy. Ugh, its the first day of school. Actually, its the first day of high school. "Why do I have to go to high school?" I ask no one in particular. After laying in my bed dreading the fact I have to go to school, I finally get out of bed and begin to get ready. I straighten my long brunette somewhat wavy hair and put on some makeup which consisted of some foundation and mascara. Once I'm finished I head over to my closet to pick out my outfit. My outfit consisted of some dark skinny jeans, a pink t-shirt style dressy shirt, and some black vans. Once I was finished getting ready I brushed my teeth and headed into the kitchen to grab some breakfast.
"Good morning sweetie," my mom said as I walked into the kitchen. "Good morning," I replied back with no enthusiasm. As I walk to the cabinet to get some cereal out my mom looks at me funny and says, "Are you okay? You seem kinda down." I stand there blankly looking at her for she knows exactly whats wrong. I once tried to convince my mom to home school me but she never would even take it into consideration so I just gave up. "Yeah. I'm perfectly fine mom," I say with a bit of attitude as I roll my eyes. Instead of saying anything, my mom just grabs the keys and heads out the door signalling its time to head off to school. Since I didn't get to eat an actual meal, I just grab a granola bar really quick and head out the door.
After about five to ten minutes I finally arrive at school. "Here goes nothing," I whisper to myself. As I walk in I see my two best friends Cassie and Lauren. "EVELYN!" they both yell at the same time when they see me. "CASSIE! LAUREN!" I yell back while running up to my two best friends. Once I get up to them we all exchange hugs.
Before we all know it, the bell rings signalling it's time to go to first period. My first period is Psychology. As I walk in I realize that neither Cassie or Lauren are in the class. Instead I realize I'm stuck with mainly sophomores, juniors, and seniors. But I guess that's what happens when your an honor student. That's right, I'm a nerdy honor student. You know the only who never gets in trouble at school and is always getting straight A's. Yep, that's me. Not long after I sat down the late bell rung and the teacher walked in. "Hi everyone. I'm Mr. Morris, and welcome to psychology!" Great. A way over enthusiastic teacher to start off every morning. I can already tell this day isn't going to be good.
----------------
I have the first lunch of the day so I guess that's kinda a good thing. As I walk into the cafeteria I see the exact two people who always make life better. Cassie and Lauren. "Cassie, Lauren! Over here!" I yell across the cafeteria to get my two best friends' attention. "Oh hey!" they both say in unison. "I'm so glad you guys have first lunch because I thought I was going to be alone," I say with a small laugh. "Me too," Cassie says. After a short bit of silence, Lauren speaks up and says, "Shall we find a table to claim as ours?" Both me and Cassie nod our heads and we take off in search of a table. Well, at least I'll get to see Cassie and Lauren during lunch I thought to myself.
----------------
As I walk into my house I head straight to my room and flop on my bed taking a deep breath. "Day one down, and way too many more to go I say to myself. After laying there for a while, I decide to get my laptop and watch some Netflix. As I'm halfway through an episode of the series Lost, I get a text from Cassie.
Cassie: Hey wanna wear matching outfits with me and Lauren tomorrow?
Me: Sure
Cassie: Okay! I'll facetime you later with the details.
I don't bother to reply back. Instead I decide to go find something to eat. When I go in the kitchen I see a note on the counter that says, "Be back in a bit. Eat whatever you want. Love, Mom". After reading the note, I decide to fix some mac n cheese.
After I finish eating, I decide that's since it's getting late that I probably should got get a shower and get ready for bed. After my shower, I go to sleep thinking about what tomorrow is going to be like. "Hopefully tomorrow goes better," I say aloud to myself. Before I know it, I'm drifting off into a deep sleep.
