I was so engrossed in work and forgot the outer world unless one of my colleague came and bid me good bye saying happy weekend.
Suddenly I realized the time is 8:30 pm and probably Anurag was the last one to leave except me. I was still way behind my task completion.
Anurag was the one from network help desk, a short 5'2" lean man in his early thirties.
I just smiled at his greeting and resumed coding, yes I am a programmer by profession. It's strange isn't it, once programming for me was a passion, now it's a burden, it's just a tough work to complete in time, no brain required, just copy and paste, calling it DTP work was more apt.
Meanwhile my phone buzzed, it was a message from IRCTC.
Damn....I booked train which was scheduled @8:30 pm and time was already past 9:00 pm.
The next thing I did was turning off my system and rushed to railway station.
Knowing that trains here are always late and station was just walkable distance from my office.
Within no time I was in the station at the enquiry counter and then in the train which was waiting for me at platform number 6.
Awaiting for the train to take its move and complete it's 3 hours journey as early as possible so that I could get down at Mancherial, my home town in Andhra Pradesh now Telangana.
