Jade's POV

I proceeded to read the letter.

"Dear Jade Silver and Issac Penski,

We are very happy to say you are invited to the wedding of Ethan Dolan and Emily Peacham! The wedding will take place at the Midnight Grove on July 15, 2025. The theme of the wedding is white with gold accents, be sure you wear formal clothing with those colours!

I read the last word and was in shock. Emily and Ethan are engaged? They're getting married?

"Hey Issac?"

"Yes babe?"

"We got invited to Ethan and Emily's wedding!" I say feeling a little bit of pain in my heart when I shouldn't have.

"Really?" He said getting up coming over to me.

"Yeah. Here read the letter." I said handing him the letter.

"Oh nice. I'll have to call him and congratulate him!" 

"Yeah me too."

"We should be getting to bed now it's a little late."

"Okay."

"Jade baby! I'm leaving to work now. I'll be home late today by the way."

"Alright." I walk to him and give him a kiss before he left to work.

I decided to call Ethan to congratulate him. The only thing is that I was afraid it was going to awkward considering we haven't talked in a while. 

I just said fuck it and called him anyways.

Calling ; ethan

"Hello?" His husky voice spoke through the phone.

"Hey, Ethan?"

"Oh, hi Jade! Long time no talk. What's up?"

"Well I wanted to say congratulation on the engagement!" I say.

"Awh, thank you Jade! That means a lot."

"No problem, when did you propose?"

"A while ago. Hey, do you want to catch up and get lunch?" he asks.

"Yeah sure, pizza?"

"Classic. I'll pick you up at 12:30." he says.

"Okay, see you then. Bye."

"See you there baby girl." 

Call ended.

Babygirl? Why would he say this? He's engaged to Emily.. He will seriously be the death of me.

12:25 ;

I got a call from Ethan saying he was here so I got changed.

I wore a laced up long sleeved shirt and some ripped jeans.

I went down and saw his car pulled up to the driveway.

"Hey Jade!" 

"Hey E. I haven't talked to you in so long, it's weird." 

"Why is it weird babe?"

"Ethan you can't call me that.." 

"Why not?" he asks while looking at the road.

"It's just not right. You're getting married in a couple of months, and I have a boyfriend. It's all wrong.."

"Oh, well then would this be wrong too?" he asks while leaning in giving me a kiss.

I was shocked but gave in. It soon became a heated make out until I pulled away.

"Ethan-" he cut me off. 

"It's okay. I missed you my Jade."

"I missed you too Ethan.." I said knowing what we just did was wrong, but it felt so right.

"How about we go get our pizza?" he says.

"Yes, I'd like that please."

We pulled up to the pizza parlour and ordered our food and walked around the park eating our food.

"So how've you been?" he asks.

"I've been good, just moved in with Issac."

"Oh really? Where to?" he asks taking a bite into his pizza.

"In an apartment complex."

"That's nice, anyways. I'm excited for the wedding."

"Me too, I'm actually very happy for you." I lied. 

"Hope you wear something real nice for me."

"Trust me. I'll show up in nothing but golden pasties and a g-string." I said sarcastically.

Ethan nearly chocked on his pizza and said, "Are you serious?" 

"No Ethan! Who do you think I am?" I said laughing.

"I was actually got really excited." he laughed. 

"In your dreams Dolan."

It was getting dark out so Ethan dropped me home. 

I grab my keys and unlocked the door to a clean house, but no Issac. I guess he's working late shifts again.

I texted him asking what time he was going to be home by. He answered back saying he doesn't know yet. 

So I got ready for bed but decided on watching an episode of Baby Daddy.

I woke up and checked the time on my phone. 3:35am.

I looked around the room to see Issac nowhere. I called him asking him where he was. I was worried sick.

Turns out he had to sleep at his brothers place because his car broke down.

My phone vibrated multiple times. I check it to see messages from Ethan.

imessage ; ethan

ethan : remember how we use to talk to each other at 3am all the time?

ethan : i miss those days. maybe we should do it more often now.

me : ethan, go to bed its too early for this :/

ethan : cmon babe you love it.

me : no thanks crack head

ethan : wow i try to be cute and shit but i get called crack head, love it

me : get used to it baby boy

ethan : aww baby boy? i thought it was crack head

me : good night crack head :)

ethan : aw shit.
