Ally stepped out of her mother's blue convertible and took a deep breath. Today was her first day of 6th grade, worst thing was she had just moved. Ally was originally from Maryland but her father had got a promotion at work, causing the family to move to Florida. Ally was happy to move since she didn't have many friend back home, this was a fresh start for her and her family. Her father had just got out of debt, her mother had sold and paid off her college bills, and her brother had started going to consoling.  Everything was perfect. Ally waved goodbye to her mother, her brother getting out of the car and taking her hand. Ally smiled at this, her brother always took her hand and made sure nothing bad happened to her. As the two began to walk into the school, a boy with hair the color of charcoal had caught her eye. He was leaning against the side of the school, a cigarette in one hand and a lighter in the other. Her heart began to beat faster and faster inside her chest, her cheeks flushed as his eyes grazed over her. A small squeak escaped her lips as the boy winked. Her brother turned his head towards her, following her gaze to the boy with charcoal hair. Ally heard her brother swear before grabbing her, she yelped rather loudly. Her brother dragged her inside the school and told her to get to class, Ally crossed her arms and puffed her cheeks.

"Why? I still have time to check out the school. Got a problem Brandon?"

Brandon, Her brother, ran a hand through his hand and sighed before speaking to her.

"Just stay away from that boy please, I know trouble when I see it."

She sighed, nodding and reaching out to hug her brother.

"Fine, I'll stay away from him, I promise."

She pulled away, saying goodbye and heading of to class. Room 314B was Mrs. Rosen, she taught Math and was also Ally's homeroom teacher. As Ally walked in the door, somebody rushed in past her, causing her to loose her balance. She felt hands on her hand and back, and turned her head to the right. A girl her age was standing there, holding her up.

"You ok? You nearly fell."

The girl smiled and took her hands off Ally, putting them on her hips.

"Yea I'm fine, thanks. I'm Alison but you can call me Ally, everyone does."

Ally stuck out her hand, smiling back at the girl who had just helped her.

"I'm Linda, but you can call me Lindy."

Lindy took Ally's hand, shaking it and giggling. Ally turned to check out everyone in the room, a familiar face catching her eye once again.

"Oh you have got to be kidding me!"
