It is only in historical maps that Dora has ever seen the Orbis, which is the Old World- in which we live. She lives in the era of Novae Terrae, in a country called the Major Land. Around the Major Land are the Great Mountains, and below it is the wide salty Perivivine Sea. To the north of the country, is Black Land, where there are the vast plains. To the east, and upwards are another set of plains, which are foreign to her. That country, Cyrillia, is snowy, and poor, but massive. To the west, is the Plateau,and further north to the Plateau, disconnected from the mainland, is the richest country of the continent, Reliteas.

Most of the northern parts of the continent were usually covered with ice thoughout the year, and the southern lands were sunshiny and bright, but not for Dora.
