*year 850 Germany*

“Hey, Heichou?” She asked shyly.

“Nani?” He replied harshly, sending a chill up her spine.

“Do you… Do you believe in rebirth?” She smiled.

“Rebirth?” He cocked his head to the side.

“You know, like. Being born again after you die.”

“I don't know. I guess I never thought about it before.”

“Well, if I were to die… Maybe we would see each other again. In another life.”

“What kind of talk is that? You aren't going to die any time soon, soldier. We leave for our next expedition tomorrow but you are coming back alive. Am I clear?”
Her smile disappeared into a slight frown of disappointment and selflessness.
“Hai. Cristal.” She looked down at her feet. She left the room with more guilt than she did when she walked in.

“Why must I always ask the dumbest questions to Levi Heichou like that?” She asked herself with tears in her eyes. She was never happy with how easily she could cry. Made her seem weak. But the Captain knew she wasn't weak. He say a fire in her belly, nobody else could see it, but he could. Maybe it was because he had feelings for this woman. But he knew, that if he ever fell in love, it would end in heartbreak.
*the next day*
They got on their horses and were about to leave. Commander Erwin Smith had given orders before they left the wall. After orders were given, they were off. She stayed close to the Corporal for she felt safe with the small man.

“Don't stay too close, got it? I need space from brats like you.” He glared over at her.

“Yes, Heichou.” She said sadly.

She didn't know how much he really loved her, or cared for her. He just never knew how to show it with the way he was raised. He saw it as showing love. She say it as hate ridge. They didn't encounter any titans until they sent up camp.

“We're useless on flat ground with our 3D maneuvering gear!” Armin yelled aloud.

“We'll just have to deal with it. Get as many as you can. Shitty glasses, no bringing titans home but Eren, got that?” Levi yelled to Hanji.

“Not even for science????” Hanji replied. Everyone yelled no to her.

“We have an abnormal! Nani shiyou ka?!?!” One of them yelled. What are they going to do? After that was said, the abnormal picked up a tree and throw it, hitting a few soldiers. Even the one Levi had loved.

They had driven all the titans away from the camp for now. It was only a matter of time before more would come.

“Heichou!” She coughed out from the tree. He ran over there as fast as he could. The tree had crushed most of her bottom half.

“There's not a lot of time before I cross to the other side, so I'll make it quick. I have always loved you. And I always will. I'll meet you again. In another life.” Was her dying words.

“Kit… She's gone now, I guess. I never got to tell you how I feel. I loved you too.” He said with his normal straight face, but his voice was shaking. He never thought he would do it, but he kissed the lips of her corpse. He had loved her. And he was going to see her in another life.

*modern day Tokyo*

“Kuso! Chikokuda,” She cursed that she was late for her new job.

“Masani watashi ga hitsuyō…” Just what she needed. Not looking where she was going, she ran into someone.

“Gomen'nasai…” She muttered under her breath.

“Say that with a little more confidence to my face, brat.” He said rudely.

“Oh. You speak English? Sorry for running into you…” She said with a thick accent.

“Not speak English every well?” He helped pick her stuff up.

“Not really. Getting a little better. Not much…” She said shyly. It started to rain a little.

“Great. Just what we needed. Rain. I'm Levi by the way.”

“Watashinonamaeha kittodesu.” She smiled and held her hand out.

“Not very good with Japanese, come again?”

“Kit.” He took her hand and shook it warmly.

“Heichou!” She sneezed.

“Gesundheit. And isn't Heichou like a branch of military?” He chuckled.

“Hai. Gesundheit is health, no?”

“Yeah. German.” They both smiled.

“You know, I've had dreams about a woman named Kit. She looked a little like you.” He told her.

“I've had dreams of a man with your name. Maybe we knew each other in another life.” She giggled.

“Yeah. Another life,” he thought for a second. ‘What if this really is the woman in my dreams? What do I say?’ He thought to himself.

“Would you like some… Or get a drink sometime?” He asked, nervously.

“Like, tea?” She questioned.

“Yeah. Tea. So? How about it?”

“Hai. I would love that.” She smiled sweetly.

‘She even has the same smile as that woman!’ He thought.

‘He's a lot nicer than the man in my dreams. It can't be him.’ She thought.

‘What am I thinking? Rebirth is not possible.’

‘Rebirth seems to far out with this.’
“What if I said…” They both said at the same time.

“You go…” He looked away embarrassed.

“Arigatōgozaimashita,” she bowed her head slightly.

“I was just going to say… What if I told you… That… That… Watashi…” She paused. She couldn't finish the sentence. Tears form in her eyes.
‘Watashi wa kare o aishi, kare o otsutae shitai to omoimasu…’ she just wants to tell him she loves him.

“I think I know what you wanted to say. I love you too.” Her breath hitched when he said that.

“You read my mind,” tears started to come down at this point.

“I love you,” She said in the tears. She embraced him in a hug.

“Kuso! I'm really late now! Tea after work?”

“Yeah. That would be great.” He smiled sweetly. She smiled back and ran off. Now to both of them, nothing seemed impossible.
