Chapter 1

Tianna's POV

Soon the day will come that I turn 16. The day I finally get to escape from my twisted parents' hands. I already have a beaten up red Volvo sitting in the driveway, waiting for me to drive it away, so far away I will never have to look back.

Jenna's POV

We're throwing a party for Tianna's 16th birthday. All her life she's had to deal with an abusive mom and a dad who doesn't do anything about it. Oh, by we I mean me, my boyfriend Cole, Katie, her boyfriend Tim, Tianna, her boyfriend Gary, and Adrianna (were trying to set her up with someone). Since Tianna's boyfriend, Gary, won a cruise for 2 in March on some radio show, she won't be here for her birthday. So we're throwing the party early. Katie comes over to the house, and for once she's away from her boyfriend, Tim. They've been together for about 3 years now, and their relationship is as strong as ever. "What, no Tim?" Cole teases. "Shut up", Katie says laughing. "No, no Tim. I wanted this to be like old times before Tim was part of our group. It was better back then. No boy drama." No one says anything, but she's right.
