Chapter 6
I walked slowly through the bushes, and inconspicuously through the vines and leaves. My prey was simply standing, unaware of my presence. I was quiet, and stayed low. A soft crinkle of leaves came from the direction of my prey.
"Nice, Trey. Nice." A female was standing underneath the branches of a giant maple tree. She was looking at my direction, yet couldn't see me. Her long chocolate brown hair went all the down to her belly button. It was covering the several buttons on her long slim white T-shirt. She had skinny jeans and flip flops on. She looked like the sphinx, only much softer.
I couldn't see the man with her, he was behind me and he shot me. I immediately started to scream. Gabriel rushed and attacked Trey and the female for me. He left them lying in the forest to rot and decompose.
There was blood. There was a helluva lot of pain. Gabriel said that I was hilarious to watch because I was trying so hard to do well.
My feelings were hurt but I was, sadly, still hungry. So I asked if I could give it another go.
This time was more successful. I killed an old lady, easy as pie. We went home then and Bobby was nowhere to be found. One of Gabriel's cars was gone.
We went in the house and started watching some show on Fuse. I don't know how long we were watching it until Bobby came in furious.
"Godammit! Those Slayers," he chucked the car keys on the granite countertop, and sat by the bar near where I was sitting on the couch, “They attacked me! Twice!" he started taking shot after shot of some drink, slamming down the glass everytime. Gabriel got up off the couch and went to his room, slamming the door. He was obviously pissed.
As I flinched at his slamming, Bobby continued rambling on and I was practically alone. I went outside onto the balcony and stared out into the forest below me and this three story house.
I never looked around the house before I suddenly realized. I jogged off the balcony and quietly yet swiftly up the steel, winding staircase. Bobby didn't even notice me, and Gabriel didn't when I read his thoughts.
As I quickly ascended the stairs, I nearly crashed into a wooden door which had 'Tomas' neatly scrawled into it. The door was cracked, and I silently went in.
Books were all over the place. Papers were sprawled all over a large, black futon. Several bookcases surrounded the walls, and a large desk filled up the room. Car keys were about the only metal thing in this wooden room in this steel house. As strange as it sounds, it was the most beautiful room throughout the house. It had a large rectangular window that you could see everything 20 miles away. It was incredible. A small clink in the steel stairs pulled me out if my revelry and it was tough Gabriel.
'What is that noise upstairs?' he thought. My first thought was to hide but where? I ran to hide behind the futon but crashed into a bookcase and got spun around into a dark room. I fell onto concrete and it was pitch black. I knew in the pit of my stomach I wasn't in the house anymore and I wasn’t safe.
