Okkay guys this is my second book and I couldn't really get into my first one, but I really like these types of books. Here is the first chapter! Please let me know if there is any typos! Thanks guys!
The Alpha's Mate
I wake up every morning, do the same thing everyday. I go to school, go to cheer practice, go home, do homework, take a shower, and go to bed.
My name is Chandler Howard and I don't think I've mentioned this yet but I'm a werewolf. I'm fifteen and my birthday is in three days!
When I turn sixteen I will be of mating age, I will finally shift, and I get to meet my wolf! But what I'm most excited about is meeting my very own mate. I've been dreaming of it since I was little. My parents are both wolves so they are of course mates. They are so happy, especially when they are with each other. I have an older sister named Sarah, and an older brother named Johnathon. (But I call him John because saying Johnathon over and over again gets to be a little too much) We are pretty much a happy family for the most part, but I just can't wait for my sixteenth birthday to finally find my mate.

Chapter one
Chandler's POV
"Chandler GET UP!" My mom screams at me from downstairs. I growl into my pillow.
"Don't you growl at me." She says as my door swings open revealing my mom in the door way.
I laugh at her, "Sorry mom."
"Whatever," She jokes, "now get your butt up and get dressed!"
I laugh and roll out of bed. I go to the bathroom and start to straighten my hair. I have to say I'm not the prettiest person in the world...I have long jet black hair that goes down to my belly button when it's straightened. My eyes are bright blue and I don't have any acne. I thank the moon goddess everyday for that. After I finish straightening my hair I put on some make up and brush my teeth. I don't put on much make up, just mascara and lip gloss.
I go to my closet and pick out some high waisted shorts and a crop top. I put on my cross necklace and my infinity ring that my best friend, Anna, got me as a birthday present last year. Anna and I have been best friends since sixth grade when we met at cheer tryouts. We were instantly best friends and haven't parted since. I slip on my white sandals, grab my cheer bag, and head downstairs.
"Well goodmorning my beautiful daughter." My dad says as he takes a sip of his coffee. He is sitting at the end of the table.
I kiss his cheek, "Goodmorning Daddy."
"Let's go!" I hear John yell from his truck.
"I'm coming!" I yell back grabbing my backpack and an apple.
"Love you guys!" I say while running out he front door.

We get to school and I fix my hair really quick. Jumping out of the truck I was quickly greeted by Anna. She is also a wolf, don't think I mentioned that earlier. Anna found her mate, Luke, he is the alpha-to-be's beta. They are the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life.
"Hey Chandler!" She says as she runs up to me.
"Hey girl. What's up?" I say closing the truck door.
"I love your outfit today!"
"Thanks! I picked it out in five minutes!"
We both laugh and start heading into school. I feel eyes watching me and I turn to see who it is. Jacob Price. THE most popular guy in school. He is the alpha to be and the captain of the varsity football team. Why would he be staring at me?
School went normally, just like any other day. But I couldn't get Jacob out of my head for some reason. Finally cheer practice, the best part of the day.
I am the captain of the cheer team, I know it's weird since I'm only a sophomore. But everyone voted an they chose me.
"Alright girls, let's start doing our tumbling exercises!" I yell after all the mats are put out.
We all do back hand springs first, then standing back tucks, then back hand spring backs and then my favorite. Running tumbling. I go first. Everyone lines up behind me at the corner of the mats. I do a round off two back hand springs and a double. (A double is where you twist twice while flipping) As I'm tumbling I feel eyes on me again. Just like this morning. I look up towards the weight room, there's Luke watching Anna and then there's Jacob again. I ignore this time, I have way too much to do to be worrying about this.
