"Honey, you ready?" Quinn popped her head in the door and I nodded, standing up from my bed.

I straightened out my shirt and took a deep breath, getting my bag from the desk. Taking one last look in the mirror, I decided I couldn't fix anything else. My leggings were wrinkle free and my sweater didn't have any stray hairs on it. I zipped up my combat boots and ran a hand through my hair, heading down stairs. Since my dad was going to work early, Quinn was going to drive me to school. I followed her out to her car and climbed in, nerves rising in my stomach.

I'm going to be the new girl with an accent and no friends. My leg shook in its place and I gulped when she pulled up in front of the school. Students littered the grounds and I could have had a panic attack. I thanked Quinn and walked inside, trying to find the front office. I eventually did and waited for my schedule. The receptionist handed me a packet of papers that I had to fill out sometime in the next few days and I thanked her, heading to my first class. I found an empty seat and gave the paper to the teacher that I had to get signed by everybody.

"Can I see your schedule?" I turned to my right to see Harry sitting next to me with a small smile on his face.

I nodded and handed it to him, tugging my sweater sleeves over my knuckles. God, I really didn't want to be here. Harry looked it over and told me that we had three classes and lunch together. I forced a smile and he handed me the paper back, telling me how to get to each class. I was extremely thankful for that. I would have been lost if he hadn't written things down for me. Soon, the bell rang and class started. English class has always been easy for me, so I was kind of happy that it was the first thing I did everyday.

"I'm passing back instructions for the partner project. It will be due in three weeks." Mr. Hamilton said, passing papers and anxiety grew in the pit of my stomach since I didn't know anyone.

"Wanna be my partner?" I looked over to see a guy with long blonde hair and beyond crooked teeth, smiling at me creepily.

"Um," I stuttered and all of the sudden, a desk was being pulled up next to mine.

"Sorry, she's taken." I saw Harry shooting the guy a look and I gave him a thankful smile, leaning back in my seat. "That's Tanner. Creepy as hell."

"Thanks." I said quietly and Harry smiled, pulling out a notebook. "Um, what are we supposed to be doing?"

"We have to do a power point about the relationship between Pearl and Hester in the Scarlet Letter." He said, reading off of the paper and I nodded, gulping.

Of course we would have to talk about a mother daughter relationship. Just my luck. Harry and I began working since I had read this book last year and soon enough the bell rang. Thank god. I walked down the hallways, searching for my next class. This is gonna be a long day.

"Do you have anybody to sit with at lunch?" Harry asked me as we walked towards the cafeteria and I shook my head. "Well, I'm offended. I thought you were gonna sit with me."

I couldn't help but laugh a little and nod, following him through the tables to one with two other boys and a girl. I fumbled with my sleeves the closer we got and once there, Harry motioned for me to sit down next to him. Everyone at the table fell silent and I gulped, looking over at Harry.

"Guys, this is Sam. She's new." He said and they all nodded. "Sam, this is Louis, Liam and Aria." He pointed to them and I nodded, offering a small smile. "Aria and Liam are dating, so sorry, he's off limits."

"No need to worry about that." I said and everyone laughed, Liam feigning offence.

"So, where are you from?" Aria asked and I fumbled with my fingers in my lap.
