The Path To Chloe Grimaldi

Chapter 1

Chloe's P.O.V.

          "Chloe! Get down here! Someone is here for you!" Lola, the owner of the orphanage, was always so generous and kind to me. I was a bit disappointed when she told me that someone was coming to take me away, but I was also extremely excited that I would have a real family! I ran down the three flights of stairs to Lola's office to see my new family. I was surprised to only see a tall, skinny, man talking to Lola in her office.
          "Hello," I said quietly, slightly interrupting their conversation.
          "Hi!" He said cheerfully. "You must be Chloe! Lola has told me a lot about you. My name is Christopher, and I will be adopting you!" He replied in a low and clear voice.
          "Will I be having any more relatives, other than you?" I asked politely. I was really curious about having a real family with a real dad and maybe a real mother!
          "Of course!" He slightly explained.
          "Ok! So... Just sign this contract and you will be all set to take Chloe with you! I really hope that Chloe will have an extraordinary life with her new family!" Lola cut in. After Christopher was halfway through writing the contrast to take me home, Lola asked,"May I speak to Chloe alone, first before you take her away?"
"Yes! I don't want to get in the way of your relationship!" He replied. I was actually kinda starting to like this guy!

Christopher's P.O.V.

When Chloe first walked into the room, I was astonished! She had her mother, Queen Astoria's, hazelnut brown eyes and was the exact replica of me! The King of the Water Nymph Realm and her father! Surprisingly, I managed to spill out a nice, "hello", to her. I was trying to sound relaxed and cheerful! Thankfully, I think she bought it! I was actually really nervous to talk to my only daughter. The king-lost princess of the Water Nymph Realm. On the other hand, seeing her again made me feel like I was the luckiest man in the world! It took ages for me to find her and now... I'm here to take her to her true home! I haven't seen her beautiful face in such a long thirteen years! After I introduced myself to Chloe, Lola asked me to fill out a contract and to talk to Chloe alone, so I said yes. I was thinking about how I would explain to Chloe that she is a princess and, her parents left her alone on the doorsteps of this orphanage in the Mortal world because they thought she couldn't handle being a princess? Well, it's going to be difficult to start acting like a father... But I will do anything to make Chloe feel like she is at home, once again.

Chloe's P.O.V.
Lola motioned me to come with her to an empty room I have never been into before. "I don't know how I am ever going to live my life without you! I'm really going to miss you!" I said, hugging her real tight.
"Me too, hon!" She replied while hugging me back. "I will think of you every day, and I hope you will never forget me!"
"What are you saying?! I will never forget you! I've always thought of you as my mother and... I will always love you..."
