Eilam wasn't always king of the lycans, he was once just a servant boy who wanted to help his master
But the thing is he didn't just have any person as his master, for his master was king Edmund . . .the ruler of the lycan existence.
But that mattered not to eilam for he was just a young boy who adored his master for his never ending kindness towards him, although he had heard of the dreadful things king Edmund had done he couldn't fathom any truth to them for surely they were only rumors to ruin his masters name
. . .but all too soon young eilam was corrected , for merely only ten summers later there was a war which was shattering the lycan community
🌸
At this time eilam had been placed into the kings army but only as a sort of learning experience never to battle
Eilam was never fond of this situation countless times he had asked the king to accompany the army but he always received the same answer
" you don't fully understand the needs and requirements of my warriors, young eilam"
King Edmund would calmly reply
But eilam would always be confused. . .wasn't he the same age as some of the soldiers , didn't he train just as hard as they did.
All his questions were then answered when the king was near death . . .he had given an order for his army to stand back whilst he spoke to the then vampire king lokye.
King Edmund had always been one to talk out his disputes with his rivals, never to engage in warfare, this would be his downfall for lokye proved to be no more than a blood sucking parasites only wanting power, for he took Edmunds civilized nature and used it to his gain, he ambushed king Edmund and did unspeakable torment to him, by the time he crawled back to his men he was only minutes from death.
He called for eilam to be at his side
" ahh, young eilam you are to continue my legacy? Will you not?" The king had whispered to the now teen boy
" but how master, I am merely just a servant boy not even a real warrior, the people would never allow this!"eilam argued to the dying king.
"Shhh my boy, you were always destined for greatness ever since you wondered into the palace grounds and fought off my gaurds just in search of some bread" Edmund joke but eilam didn't see how he could at a time like this for the man that was a father to him was about to accend into the heavens and leave his side.
" ever since then I gave you your name eilam meaning 'everlasting leader' , my boy no one will question you. I have taken care of everything" the king confessed. Eilam had so many questions but so little time to ask them
"Please don't question my decision eilam, the reason I never allowed you to accompany the warriors was for your own good and for the continuation of our existence, for if you knew how my men fought you would surely abandon them and me" he solemnly stated
"NO! , never master I am loyal to the crown" he was outraged, how could his master think this of him.
"No young one your loyalty was never in question ..but our brute force was" the king whispered feeling drained
" Shh master keep your strength, everything will be fine" but eilam and king Edmund both knew that there was nothing that could be done in aid to his life.
" no. ..son don't mourn my departure, I am to be rejoined with my love and I have lived a good long life" with this king Edmund gave eilam his crown and hung his head as a sign of submission to his newly given authority
" but master. .." Eilam tried to further question
" stop it eilam you are now king of the lycans, kings are affermative in there actions void of emotions, and remember eilam now you are the ruler and they are our subjects, never the other way around . don't second guess your worthiness for you are strong and meant to lead them in victory, always and forever" after such a speech Edmund had used most of the little energy that he had left. But it was not in vain for he saw that eilam stood taller and with an air of authority
" very well master, I shall not fail you or our people" coldly stated
" good, now leave me to the healers I wish to be prepared for death" at this eilam turned to exit the kings quarters, but before he left he turned and said
" good bye master I shall never forget you"now he decided that the tears that fell from his eyes would be his last. EVER
🌸
Anyone that was outside that room could tell you that the person that came out was not the sweet boy that went in, he was different .
Eilam didn't care for there inquiries, he had only one thing on his mind and that was what would become of his queen ...who would she be. ..when would he receive her
But he didn't know that when he met her his only question would be
"is he worthy of her?"
