Mutations.

Where It All Started.

Five teenagers by the names of Moira, Ian, Jacob, Pierson, and Grayson had just gotten out of their last class of high school. The school year had just ended and the only thing they had to worry about was graduation. "We made it, holy shit..." Ian said to the group. "I know, it was a bumpy road, but we did it. We finished school." Jacob replied. The group all got into Ian's car to go home. "Hey, we should drive around. See the town before we all leave," Grayson said to us. "Sounds great to me!" Moira exclaimed. "Alrighty!" Said Ian as he pulled out of the parking lot. It was Ian and Pierson in the front, and Grayson, Jacob, and Moira in the back. As they drove around, Moira noticed something weird. "Look at that!" She said while pointing. "Pulling over!" Said Ian. After Ian parked, they all got out to investigate. It was a small crystal broken into five pieces. Each of the teens grabbed one and looked at it. "Cool, souvenir!" Said Jacob as he put his in his pocket. The others just shrugged and did the same. As they were driving Pierson said, "Dude, what if these things came together and made one big crystal." "Let's try." Moira suggested. They all took their individual crystal pieces and stuck them together and they shined brightly. "Whoah, coo-" Ian was interrupted by an explosion the crystals created. They blew up the car and everybody in it.

"Huh, where am I...?" I wondered. I opened my eyes to see a white room. It was completely empty, except for a woman in a white lab coat. I tried to stand up but I was strapped down. "What's going on? Where am I? Who are you? Where are my friends?!" I yelled. "Calm down Jacob. You're just fine." She said. "How do you know my name?" I asked calmly. "I used to know you until high school came around and I moved." She replied to me. "Merrisa? Is that you?" I guessed. "Yes, it's me. Been a while, eh?" She said....
