"My name is Winter," were his first words to me, no greeting, not even nod.
Confused by his sudden appearance, I didn't know how to reply. So of course I said the first, and most trivial thing, that came into my head,"Like the season?"
The man...

*drools*
*cough cough* Anyways... so before I forget I should probably put the extended synopsis here:
"My name is Winter," were his first words to me, no greeting, not even a nod.
Confused by his sudden appearance, I didn't know how to reply. So of course I said the first, and most trivial thing, that came into my head,"Like the season?"
The man grinned, his pearly white teeth sparkling in the soft evening light,"Yes, very much like the season."

Sixteen year old Will Young is an orphan. Or at least that is what he considers himself, having never actually met his father. He has lived a difficult life, filled with hardships in an orphanage ever since his mother passed away. But then one blustering day, his life takes an unexpected turn. It was the 11th of December, a day like any other you could say, except for the fact that it was snowing, an occurrence which was extremely rare in the town of Blackwood, and the temperature was lower than ever seen before by the towns people. And of course it was also the day that Will literally met Winter.
One of the 4 immortal seasons Winter is looking for an heir: the next Winter to take up his icy mantle. As is tradition, every millennia each Season searches for their successor using various methods to find an apprentice to ready for their thrones. For Spring it's the 'Floral Pageant', a competition where beauty and finesse is the key to winning. For Autumn, the 'Amber Clash' in which the ability to adapt and change is valued above all. Though it is passion, tenacity and outright ferocity which is the way to conquer Summer's 'Blaze Fervor'. And then of course there is 'The Winter Game', a series of trials compiled by Winter to test agility, brutality, wit and of course the art of icy calmness.
Anyone can participate... but there's one catch: if you lose, then you lose for good.
Well that was pleasant XD Anyway guys please vote and comment and any constructive criticism is allowed of course :)
