The air was cold as I woke up. It was 6:00 in the morning everyone else in the city was asleep today I had to wake up early because it was choosing day where I have to pick a side, Fire or Ice. I was born into ice because my family was. But today I get to pick the side I truly want to be on and I'm going to choose Fire. Like I always wanted to be on , but my Mother never approved of The Fire People. As a hopped out of my bed I looked through my bedroom window. The city was dull and I could see the fresh morning dew on the grass that was still left. I went to the little pond in my backyard to get some water for a bath. The water was freezing cold because we lived in the Ice side areas of Versauna in the Fire sides it was warm. I took the water to the tiny stove near my mother's bed and boiled it. She was still asleep. If I haven't mentioned if I was poor I am. Everyone in the Ice sides of Versauna are poor. Fire people are very very rich very rich. In ice sides the air was always polluted and very dull. There were only little patches of grass around. Ice people don't look very pretty. Everyone says I'm pretty but I don't think I really am. Our houses only have two beds a tiny stove and you will always have a little pond in your backyard, man made by the government. Instead of states as the call it2,017 years ago we live in numbers. My mother and I live in Number 87, the worst one of all where most ice people live. It's only me and my mom every since my sister and father died. They died on the same day. I was 13 when they died my sister was 16 my dad was 39. Sometimes I think they're still around. I took the pot off the stove and put it into the wooden tub in my room. I dried myself off and put on my dress. It was colored blue with pink little flowers sewed on the middle. Then finally I put on the rarest thing ever.
