Well I guess it begins with picking beautiful white specks of lice out through the strands of my hideous dark hair. Sitting at the corner of poverty, ignorance and miracles,- I guess that makes it an intersection- I watch.
"Watch for witches, snakes, beasts,sirens,... even though this hell's no where near the water, there ain't no angels here. Best be on your toes."
And I wait, although I'm not actually not on my toes. I watched, counted as many people passing by with the common look of despair everyone knew, looked out for snakes, then I stop to ask myself, why? Who said that? What is it that I'm waiting for? Who? Why can't I remember? I stopped trying to create snow with my hair, but I couldn't stop thinking about it. I closed my eyes to try and remember with little intention of opening them again when something rudely tapped my head twice and startled me.
pat pat.
I looked up to see a beautiful thing that carried a whole snow storm with it, or rather, someone who carried a whole snow storm, and it was smiling. I was too fixated on the white strands coming from this alien's head and wiggling toes in clean white sandals to say 'buzz off.' Then it spoke.
"So you were here. And you're hurt huh? You shouldn't just sit there picking lice from your hair." It giggled "It's a little gross to look at and you know your leg might get infected? You
might have to have it amputated..." It made a face of pity.
Then don't come patting me on my head, is what I wanted to say, but then I look down at my leg and realize why I've been sitting in the corner of a towering empty building, in the middle of all this mess.
"Don't worry, I've decided to give you a chance of salvation. You get to live again. My name is Ringo, I'm here for you"
Ringo huh. I've never heard of a name like that, and I don't recall ever dying. Then again I don't recall anything at all.
"What...are you...?"
It chuckled and held out its hand.
"I just told you, I'm ringo and that's all ok?"
I stared at its content look a little longer and when I finally took its hand, it smiled.
It pulled me up and held my hand while walking steadily in front of me. My simple mind finally arrived at a conclusion, Ringo must be an angel.
