Sunsets. My favorite things too photograph. One day I'm going to scale the globe finding the perfect settings with the right angles in amazing countries, well that's my dream anyway. I'm thirteen. I wake up in the morning, go to school, come home, Study and sleep. Not that I'm complaining I am extremely grateful for my education and live in a wonderful country which I've probably seen more of than anyone else in my year. Ever since I can remember I've been going on camping trips all over the country with my overly keen parents and curious younger brother. I've also been doing scouts since I was four so I can't say I haven't picked up any useful skills from that. I suppose that's where my love of photography has developed. To me a photograph is like reliving a important moment in time, if you asked someone to describe a sunset I'm sure the word relaxing or romantic would come up somewhere in there. Maybe that's why I like photographing them so much because you can look back on the photograph in times of hardship, closing your eyes and just breathing. Maybe one day my work will go somewhere and someone else will feel the same way. I don't only photograph sunsets, have you ever looked at a photograph and seen a story, because when I look at a photograph of an adventure I've with my friends or family everything from that moment in time comes flooding back to me like I was back in that moment. It's magical. I might even say a camera is like a time machine. That's why I was excited when my parents told me that my younger brother had gotten into the Australian archery team, because I already knew it was in New Zealand. All my family ever talked about is how good my brother was at Archery they didn't even acknowledge that the photographs they were admiring his skill from where taken by me. So as they were telling me about our upcoming trip all I could think about was 'this is my chance to show them what I can do'.
So yeah here is the first chapter :) not quite sure where I'm going with this but I have a slight idea. Sorry this was so short but I hope you enjoy this book.
