A small giggle escaped my mouth as Daryl fell onto the wet mud and grass. As he stood up, I noticed his rather pissed but confused expression as he asked for where his weapon was and where we were. "Looking for this?" I said, tapping the crossbow which was slung over my shoulder. "What the hells going on? Why aren't they trying to tear up apart?" He hissed as walkers just plainly walked past us. "I'm saving your sorry ass, that's what's going on." I said, pointing at the blood splattered on our clothes and then turned  my back to him, slowly walking into the horde. "Rub another walkers blood all over yourself and they think you're one of their own." I said with a slight grunt. "Oh and if you wanna live.. I'd stay hot on my trail" I said, earning a grunt from Daryl as he followed me. A few times though a walker would come too close and would try to sniff me.. I'd just sway my body away limply and continue walking. I've done this too many times to count so it almost seemed normal. Killing in a situation like this would mean instant death. Yes! A clearing was seen up ahead and I pulled out my gun, shooting one single bullet into the opposite direction, the walkers all looking into the tricked direction and slowly walked or crawled away from Daryl and I. My plan had surprisingly worked and we were home free! For now that is. Peace and freedom in a world like this seemed impossible nowadays without sacrifices being made.. This has now became a kill or be killed world.. Where did we go wrong? Was it the nuclear bombs that were dropped? Or that when the infection was first discovered that we didn't do anything? This was our punishment for all of our sins.. Whether we liked it or not this is so what we deserved.
