The Boy Who Never Knew

(A short story)

Once there was a girl, she was in love with a boy who never noticed.

She was enraptured with this boy at six years of age.

Although he never noticed they knew each other well, and for a few years they played together.

By the time they turned ten they had stopped playing together at school.

Although they stopped playing together they still knew each other well and spoke often.

At this point they entered what may be known as middle school.

By this time they rarely spoke.

Despite this the girl still made an effort to know the boy.

Now as we move into year nine you must remember at six the girl was completely in love.

This love had not faded over the years and the only real change was the girl now knew she was hopelessly in love.

As the end of this school year approached she doubted he would ever see the boy again.

She had been in love for nine years, yet the boy never noticed.

She was in love, with a boy who would never know.
