Fear
It creeps in
Uninvited
Like a delicate spider
And weaves its transparent web
Then something happens
You flinch
And back up
Right into the web
It wraps you in it's sticky embrace
You relax, relieved
Until the web
Starts to bind you
It's telltale whisper
Wraps around your throat
Then squeezes tight
You choke and claw
At the cables around your neck
You collapse, paralyzed
Until the blackness washes
Acid relief over you
You're dead
