Freelancer's First: A Prequel

The Start (Prologue)

"Who are you kid!" A random thug said as he pointed his gun at the figure in the hoodie, The Thug fearing for his life, his hand shakeing. The figure in the hoodie walks forward slowly making the thug retreat, "PLEASE don't kill me!" The Thug said, the figure laughed and kept walking, purple aura irradiated from the figures right eye, "What the fuck!" The thug said, the thug pulled the trigger, but the figure ran towards him as the gun flashes showed the dark desolate ally ways, the figure dodged the bullets, the purple aura followed his movements as he took down the thug with swift and deft movements,"AAAARRRRGG!" The thug yelled as the hooded figure broke his arm. The figure took his hood off and in the moonlight his purple spiked hair glistens, his eyes are purple and his skin is a light brown , he looks at the thug and grips him up and pulled him towards his face "Tell your boss or whomever you follow that Nero did this." He said with a scowl on his face as he punched and kept on punching the thug, blood was drawn as the thug begged for mercy. "P-Please s-stop please have mercy!" The thug was breathing hard and coughing blood, his face was distorted Nero put him down, the ally's walls were covered in blood and Nero walked away with his hands covered in blood , His face having spatter , and his purple hoodie was covered in blood as well he could hear the faint sounds of groaning from the thug as he walked away. Nero picked up a briefcase from the wreckage that the one thug ran away from, Why was this in an armored vehicle Nero thought Nero looked and saw the driver badly injured, Nero ripped the armored truck's door off pulling the driver out, "He's out cold." The driver was limp as Nero pulled him out "I wonder what was in the back." Nero walks to the back, the truck had an emblem that read: Synergy Energy Co. The police sirens are heard from miles away and the lights are seen, Nero jumped up and flapped his wings and he flew away.
The police officers surround the truck with there cars, and they get out with their guns drawn "Guns down." One officer said "Get the police tape."

In the next few hours ,it being one o'clock now, there were reports of a robbery a news reporter on a T.V was on the scene "This crime scene that you are looking at is no set of an action movie this was a real robbery look at the destruction, look at the blood this was no accident." As the news reporter kept talking the detectives were looking around the crime scene, the detectives walk and see more blood the intrigued detective walks further to find even more blood spattered everywhere on the ally walls, the detectives take more steps to find the thug twitching and groaning. They call for back up

Nero arrived home he landed on the roof and climbed in his window to see a girl in it "Really Nero what the hell are you doing out so late and what is that on your hoodie? Are you okay?" She cried a bit and hugged Nero, Nero takes his hood off "Calm down Ricka it was just a little night out to clear my thoughts and I ran into some trouble." Nero laughs a bit and tries to walk past Iricka, She steps in front of him and touched a mark on his face "Nero that's a bullet graze, under your eye ,please tell me what happened to you." Iricka said as she ran her finger across the wound, Nero winced, and took her hand of lightly "Like I said it was a fight I'm ok." He said, Nero goes into the bathroom and looks at his bruises in the mirror, remembering him stopping the thug before the ally way, how the thug tried to "take care" of him and he fought with Nero.
Nero got out of the shower and put on some shorts and a shirt, then walked out of his room and saw Iericka watching the news "This was an isolated incident we don't know all parties involved with this case of robbery and vigilantism all we know is that there is a black wing angel and two more thugs, we haven't analyzed what they were after but all we know is 'Nero did this'. One of our suspects is traumatized and repeated this line." The TV news reporter said.
Iricka had a serious look on her face, her light skin turned a bit red.

"Nero this is unsafe why would you do that this isn't the Lich King or dark Elves. This isn't a simple battle field!" Iericka yelled.
Nero rolled his eyes "Great now I'm being lectured on good deeds, what the hell am I supposed to do let a thug beat up on me and the innocent huh?"
Iericka got up from the couch her hair was long and fruitful also it was a reddish brown, she walked over to Nero
"You do this! getting your name in the news they have evidence that fit your description." She said
Nero replies "What do you care hm? What do you gain by trying to dissuade me?" Nero looked at her eye to eye
"You know what I get Nero? I get you I care for you. I've been trying to figure out what's wrong as a friend. And you won't tell me." Nero keeps silent for about 5 minutes ,and Iricka walked away, Nero goes to his room and lays down on his bed "We grow apart each day." He said before dosing off.
