Chapter 1~
(Alex's P.O.V.)
"Your homework is to answer page 23 on your textbooks. Make sure you do this because I'm checking. Class dismissed."
Ugh. Really, Mr. Andrews? Homework on a friday?
I just smile at him, pretending to be delighted by the fact that we have homework today. People see me as one of those students with straight-A's, goody-two-shoes, and a smart yet beautiful girl.
Not.
I'm a rebel, really. I just hide it because I don't like sharing my personal lifestyle with other people. Specially those who judge me by the way I dress, thinking I'll help them with their math homework or something.
Only a few people know the real me, the gang and my best friend. If you consider fuck buddies as best friends, then I guess Mark will do. Mark and I talked about this before, agreeing to never have feelings for each other because that is just gross. I don't believe in feelings. I think they're just physical attraction pretending to be something else.
You can't blame me, though. I've never had a crush or fell in love with anybody. Maybe I find other guys cute, but that's it. I flirt sometimes in clubs or wherever we go, never in school.
I have to keep up this weak and sweet facade because once they mess with me, Alexandra Mae Brinley, they don't know what they're against.
As of now, I'm walking with Lindsey on the way to the cafeteria. Lindsey is a good friend of mine. She's practically my best friend, but without benefits. I've known her for as long as I can remember since she lives next door.
"So, I think I heard something about you and Ken last night? What was that about?" I mocked, raising an eyebrow.
"Oh, that was nothing. I guess we made out a little? After you guys left my flat we decided to watch a movie and that's it." I was about to say something back but was cut off by Slurpee running down my bra.
"WHAT. THE. FUCK?!" This was my favorite blouse! I like it because it fits perfect around my torso and I- wait. We're getting a bit out of hand here.
I finally composed myself and realised that the whole cafeteria is looking at me, jaw dropped with wide eyes. Shit. This was the first time I snapped like that in public.
I quickly replaced the scowl on my face with a honey sweet smile to convince them I was still the Alex they knew. Not the Alex I don't want anybody to know.
"I-I'm so sorry. I-I didn't s-see you there. I'm r-really sorry." Oh great. Harry Styles. One of the most unnoticed student in Holmes Chapel Comprehensive. The only reason I know his name is because he happens to be in every single one of my class for the last 3 years (which I'm not really bothered about) but I'm just not fond of him.
"Uhh. No, it's okay. I'll just get a new one. Want me to buy you another Slurpee? Sorry if it went down my shirt instead of your mouth." Well, that sounded wrong.
His cheeks flushed a light pink tint before shaking his head no repeatedly in an annoying way.
"No, no. Please don't. I'll just.....I'll just go now. Sorry again." And with that, be went out of the cafeteria, leaving me completely confused.
What just happened?
