AMACON 3 : OIKOS (MY ENTRIES)

DAY 1

OIKOS: Day 1

PROMPT:  Describe Maine and Alden from their pet's point of view

"Order, order," Globie said as he slammed his fist on the rock. Every one instantly became quiet

He gives a slight nod to Phillip to begin the meeting

"18-08-16, Thursday, time check 16:00, Mendoza household. We are gathered here for an emergency meeting called by the Boss to discuss the unusual behavior of our owners. Also since Master was invited to have lunch. They are currently having adobo"

"Stick to the point, Phillip. You may now sit down", Globie instructs and Phillip immediately curls onto the grass.

"Nini, would you please proceed with the details regarding Nay's behavior"

Nini instantly jumps up, excited to give a thorough answer. This was the first time she would be reporting after being promoted from a rookie and she wanted to prove herself

"We started noticing her changes since she arrived back from EB yesterday. Instead of giving us a pat on the head, or letting us lick her, she just waved at us and proceeded to her room. We heard the ipod going on full volume and for the next two hours she did not exit her room. When she did come out, she looked at us and said and I quote 'Its good to be a dog sometimes right?' I beg to disagree of course.."

"Nini, you are getting sidetracked. Get a hold of yourself", Scarlet spat. She might be the best strategist but she had zero tolerance for imperfections.

'Sorry about that. Yes, so after saying that, she gave us our food, two hours late of course and once again retreated back to her den. She forgot to take us for our nightly stroll around the neighborhood and she also did not eat anything. Unless, if you count the few bites of lasagna that Master Dean tried to shove into her mouth. She did not even talk to him much and her lights were on till 4 in the morning. After that I fell asleep since it's been a long day..'

'Is that all you would like to share, Nini?' Globie cuts in.

'Yes,.I guess I got everything covered'

'Then would you mind sitting back down so we can follow up with Master's routine? Time is money child', Scarlet said without a hint of emotion in her voice

Nini sheepishly took her seat as everyone's eyes moved towards Phillip.

'Master has once again retreated into his shell. He won't speak unless spoken to and would only respond in few words. His OC-ness has started to kick in. He made the bed two times in the morning, even though he slept on the floor the night before or he tried to. As far as my information goes, he hasn't slept at all He went early to the gym and used every single machine available there. His frustration only became more apparent when he started to beat the punching bag to death. Also his smile has almost disappeared'

'Do we know if they are talking to each other', Globie questions them.

'No. We only saw them talking on KS. '

'Not even through their cellular devices?'

"Nay is only using her ipod.'', Scarlet replied absent mindedly. She looked deep in thought

"Master's phone is with Ma. He only took it once to tweet about some endorsement of his'

'Is that all?' Globie asks surveying all of them

They bobbed their furry heads in response

'Based up on your findings, I'm afraid it's the bird again'

Everyone grimaces. Nini lets out a yelp, Phillip growls and even the cool minded Scarlet swishes her tail in anger

'This is the fourth time this month that we are facing problems because of it', Scarlet recounts

'Why can't you guys just let me eat that little good for nothing piece of trouble?'

'Because Phillip, this is not a real bird and we can't put an end to it. Its made Master and Nay the popular duo they are now', Scarlet explains

'Then what do you suggest Scarlet ?' Globie asks his strategist hopefully 'We cant stop that bird from rousing trouble'

'The only way is to get them back together. Only they can figure out what to do. And I think I have a way to stop this cold fight between them'

Everyone listens intently and prepares to put the plan in operation

'Everybody clear on their parts?' barks Globie

"Yes, Boss", they bark back in unison

"Mission: End Tampuhan Number 24 begins. Shoot"

Maine was busy swiping her finger across her iPod screen. She only picked up her phone after 24 hours and nothing had changed. She had thrown it onto her bedspread and hastily picked up her iPod, eager to find something to lift her mood up.

It was then when Nini suddenly barged into her room and grabbed the device from her hand and ran away.

Meanwhile Phillip was busy running away from Alden, after snatching his phone away from his hand. He had been engrossed in Pokemon Go when he had come out of the nowhere and took it away.

Both dogs run into the garden coming from opposite directions, owners in suit. As soon as they reached the fountain, Scarlet and Globie barged between their legs and ran away into the bushes behind. Had it not been Alden's quick instinct, both would have hit each other hard. But he was able to catch her into his arms and then fall backwards, taking her with him.

'Are you okay?' he asks her, concern dripping his voice

'I ...think .. think so", she replies as she raises her head from his chest to look up to him. Their eyes meet and it looked as if they seeing each for the first time, everything else forgotten. He moves to sit in a comfortable position and hugs her close to him.

And just like that they knew everything was going to be alright. They were going to be alright.

'Mission accomplished", Globie confirmed as the air rung with their cheering howls.
