Dylan's POV
So I guess I should introduce myself. My name is Dylan Parker. I live with my mom who is a surgeon. I recently moved to California. I was home schooled from the very beginning. I'm in high school now. I'm a junior. Im 16. I'm pretty sure I'll still be homeschooled but this year might be different because my mom actually gave me a choice whether or not to be. I haven't decided. Anyways we moved or usually move because of my mom's job. I guess that's why she doesn't bother with the whole school thing. Until now.
Well that's a little about me, putting us in the exact situation we are in right now. Unloading the moving truck.
"Mom it's so hot. Whhhyyy." I said complaining.
"C'mon, it's not so bad a little sun will do us good." She said letting the sun hit her skin. I rolled my eyes getting another box down. I miss Seattle.
We kept going for a few more hours until the last box.
"Give me a hand with this." My mom said while she passed it down. I grabbed it and walked it towards the house. Once I was in, I set it on the table. It had my initials so I checked it. I opened it to see the roller skates I bought.
I had this whole 'ooo I'm gonna roller skate everyday since it doesn't rain in Cali' idea. Funny thing is I don't even know how to roller skate.
"I don't know about you but I'm starving." My mom said. "Do you want to go get some In-N-Out?"
"Pfft. Is that even a question." I said.
"Gotta make sure. I'm just gonna park the truck on the street." She said.
I got my phone from the counter and waited outside.
I checked the time and it was around 11:49 p.m. Damn. We drove to In-N-Out and ordered our meals.
We got our meals after a few minutes and went back to our table.
"So have you decided what to do about school?" My mom asked.
"Not yet but I'll know on Sunday, well hopefully.." I said uncertain.
"Ok but just know you can meet some pretty cute boys." She said.
"Mom, I'm pretty sure I can meet boys either way." I said dipping my fry in the ketchup. "Plus I'm not rushing things."
"Ok." She sipped her soda.
Once we were done we headed home. I went upstairs to my new room. I changed into some pjs. My bed was semi set up so I just grabbed a cover and a pillow and put my phone to charge and fell asleep.
