Swinging her legs in sync, Miki sat in her class at Ryoute Academy. She stared out the window, watching the rain pour down from the sky, half-listening to the lecture. 'There was no point in being here' she thought as she tapped her pencil on the desk. A sigh escaped her lips when the bell finally rang signaling that the last class for the day is over.
Miki gathered her things and was about to make her way out when the teacher stopped her.
"Yukimura-san, please pay more attention to the lecture next time." The teacher scolded her lightly. "Yes, sensei," Miki responded softly. She turned away and began walking out of the classroom and down the hall. Once out in the hallway, Miki took out her phone and put one of her headphones in, looking to put on some music to soothe her.
Looking down Miki did not notice there was a red-headed boy walking in her direction not paying attention either. The two collided, her head bumping is his chest. "Tch. Watch where you're going." He scoffed. "Ah, excuse me," Miki replied quietly. She looked up only to meet a vibrant pair of emerald eyes. The red-headed boy looked down to see a pair of glossy, azure eyes. They stared at each other for a second longer before Miki continued her path down the hallway. "Hmm? That girl..." The boy said faintly going undetected by Miki's ears as he watched her retreating figure.
Reaching the school entrance, Miki opened her locker to get out her shoes and grab her umbrella. To her disadvantage, someone had taken her umbrella. Now she was stuck and could not go home unless she was willing to walk through the rain. Miki stood by the entrance overhead and leaned her head on the wooden frame. "Of all the umbrellas to take, they took mine," Miki muttered to herself quietly. It was unfortunate that she lived alone and there was no one to come pick her up. As she waited for the rain to clear up, Miki had a thought. 'Maybe whoever took her umbrella hid it somewhere in the school.' All she had to do was look for it. Miki had all the time she needed to look for her umbrella until the rain cleared. With her mind set on finding her umbrella, she adjusted her bag strap on her shoulder and headed looking for her umbrella.
After searching for an hour, Miki had exhausted her hopes in finding her umbrella. "Looks like I need to buy a new one." She sighed softly. Heading back to the entrance Miki had noticed that the rain has stopped. Stepping out from the entrance, Miki placed a hand out to check if the rain had completely stopped. She was in luck. The rain had stopped even only if for a mere moment. The sky didn't look like it would clear anytime soon and it could start pouring once more at any given time.
Quickly making her way to the gates of the school, Miki halted her movements after spotting the same red-headed boy she bumped into the hallway. It looked like he was waiting for someone. Miki had thought that he hadn't seen her so she continued walking and slid past him. To her surprise she had been stopped in her tracks, a cold yet , firm hand clasped around her wrist. "Oi, where do you think you're going?" The red-headed boy asked, the tone of his voice sounding like he was teasing Miki. "I think that is no business of yours." She said in a cold tone, turning around to face him. Her azure orbs stared icily at his emerald ones. The smirk that once graced his features now vanished and turned into a displeased frown. Suddenly his grip around her wrist tightened.
Miki did not flinch or even wince at the tightness of his hold. "Is that the way you show your manners to the person who's come to get you?!" He seethes. "Get me? I live alone. There's no one but me." Miki looks confused but nonetheless glared at the red-head. The brunette tried to shake off his iron grip on her wrist, but to no avail. "Let go!" Miki growled in a low tone. "How scary." The red-headed assailant said in an amused tone, the once vanished smirk regaining its place on his porcelain-like features. The moon illuminated his face in a graceful manner and had Miki mesmerized. She stopped fidgeting for a moment to look at his handsome face. "Heh, so you finally submitted to Ore-sama." He said bringing Miki back to reality. Seeing an opportunity, Miki seized it and stomped on the redhead's foot with all her might. The red-head retracted his large hand from her tiny wrist and hissed in both pain and surprise. Once freed, Miki darted as fast and as far away from the school. The boy just stood there for a moment, surprised. A moment later, he erupted in laughter. "A hunt. How fun."
Miki felt like her legs were on fire and decided that she had run far enough to be away from that guy. Taking in short and shallow breaths, Miki looked at her surroundings.Whilst running she did not seem to notice where she had run off to. Her legs seemed to have taken her to a park nearby the school. Miki breathed a sigh of relief too soon. "Was that it? How boring." His voice rang out all around her. "What? How can that be? He wasn't even behind me!" Miki said quietly. An evil like laugh echoed through her ears earning a shiver down her spine. Suddenly something cold wrapped around both of her wrists. In an instant, her world was turned upside down. The same boy from minutes ago was now towering above Miki, who had now been pinned down on a nearby bench. "What are you doing?!" Miki raised her voice. With one hand pinning both of Miki's hands, his other when down to expose her shoulder. "Hehe. Your skin without any bite marks sure is pretty. Meaning I'll be the first."
