Lyanna is King Robert Baratheon's daughter. Her mother, Lady Aelesia Blackwood of Raventree Hall, is King Robert's first wife. The Queen dies just three days after giving birth to Lyanna.
The King, overcome with guilt that every woman he loves meets an untimely death, is hell bent to protect his young daughter.
He decides to wed again, this time choosing a wife out of duty instead of love. Cersei Lannister becomes the new queen and holds a hatred within her heart for the Princess of the Realm.
