Nicole's POV, when she was six.
_
"Give me back Mr Beary!" I yelled.
"No! I'm gonna lock him up forever and ever and ever!" Tina said. I didn't miss the evil glint in her eyes.
"I said give him back!"
I tried to snatch him back but Tina held him high up above her where I was too short to reach.
"Give him back!"
She stuck her tongue out at me and waved him dangerously high in the air. My face got red as I stared at my sister helplessly. Tears started to well up in my eyes.
She snickered. "Awwww, is Nicole gonna cry like the little baby she is? "
The more she laughed and mocked me, the more my blood boiled. Why was she so mean to me? Why couldn't she be a nice sister?
"What are you gonna do about it, huh? Cry for mommy?" She mocked, tossing my poor Mr Beary in the air, pretending to almost drop him at each throw.
I saw her snouty nose pointed up like she was a queen, her taunting grey eyes challenging me. At that moment, I couldn't hold back my anger anymore. Curling my fingers, I pounced at her.
"Give me back Mr Beary!" I screamed.
I caught her off guard and she yelled as I clawed at her face. She fell to the floor, finally releasing my beloved teddy bear. I quickly scrambled off of her and snatched him back. As I was scurrying to get away, I felt my ankle being grabbed and suddenly I was being pulled back. I screamed. Tina looked like a true monster as she panted heavily in front of me, face splotchy and angry.
She tried to snatch Mr Beary from my hands but I was determined not to let go. We struggled for awhile, but then I heard a dreadful ripping sound. I immediately panicked.
"STOP IT! YOU'RE GONNA TEAR HIM APART! "
She didn't listen. The next thing I knew, a loud and horrible ripping sound filled the air and both of us stared horrifically at the teddy bear that was now a pathetic wreck of stuffing and cloth.
My grey eyes sent millions of daggers her way. With my striking and unusual eyes, the glares that I could give could cut through any soul, even being the 5 year old me. I saw Tina flinch but she soon recollected her expression back to the typical mean look.
I pointed am accusing finger at her. "Look what you did! You murdered Mr Beary! You... You... Monster!"
Tears ran down my cheeks.
Tina put her hands on her hips. She looked at me as if I was the one who was at fault. "Well, if you had let him go in the first place, this wouldn't even have happened." She threw poor torn up Mr Beary at me. She looked disgusted as she eyed me up and down. "Here's your stupid bear. Just grow up already, Nicky. "
My heart contracted a little, but I made sure not to show my feelings inside on the outside.
I looked at my own sister with eyes filled with pure hatred. "I hate you! I hate you! I hate you!"
Crying, I ran out the door. Leaves crunched beneath my small feet as I ran aimlessly into the woods that surrounded my house. I just needed to get some time away from that evil Monster.
When I thought I had ran far enough, I stopped. I rubbed my eyes and surveyed my surroundings. It was dark and I couldn't see the end of the woods.
Oh, my dolly.
Yes, dolly. I hated dolls a lot. All the popular girls that were obsessed with pink in my school had one doll each. I wasn't anything like them. I liked black instead of pink and loved playing Cars with the boys instead of Doll House with the stupid prissy girls. I was always lonely because people considered me as a weirdo.
That was okay, though, because I had Mr Beary. Which reminds me...
I looked at poor Mr Beary, ripped open and his left eye hanging loosely by a thread, but I love him nonetheless.
I hugged him closely "What am I gonna do Mr Beary? I'm lost."
Suddenly, I heard a twig snap. I turned to see where the noise came from. Afraid, I squeezed what was left of Mr Beary tightly to my chest in hopes of finding comfort.
I imagined how frightened he must be feeling now, especially when he just got ripped into shreds by an evil witch called Tina.
"I'll protect you Mr Beary," I whispered.
Another twig snapped.
My eyes swerved around. "Who's there?" I said in a small, scared voice.
The leaves rustled.
"What are you doing here?!" a voice roared.
I spun around, trying to find the source of the voice. A boy around my age came out of the shadows. His eyes glistened dangerously at me. I felt myself shrink as I hugged Mr Beary tight towards my warm chest that was turning cold by the weather out here.
