Since you are here, you must be wondering what #TruthAbout is all about.
#TruthAbout is a movement run by @Anyone_Can_Write with the intention of discouraging Wattpad stories that romanticize traumatic events. We are here to promote books that give a realistic view of life, especially stressful situations that have of late become glamorized by the populace.
So what exactly are some of these overly romanticized situations?
- Rape
- Abuse
- Adultery
- Divorce
- Coming Out
- Bullying
- Suicide
- Gender Transformation
and I am certain there are more that I haven't listed (If you know any please tell me and I'll add them to the list)
Now, don't think I'm bashing on stories that do romanticize these types of situations. I just feel like there are so many out there that people forget how traumatic these events can actually be on a person, and I want to help promote stories that don't necessarily leave you feeling warm and fluffy when you read them.
