Jack
The scent of fresh air, hearing people murmur and the stomping footsteps of people running around. Brushing my messy silvery hair back, wearing a white shirt with a light blue college jacket with sneakers. My thin lips smirking and my deep blue eyes staring into space.
School is the place where I play with girl's hearts, and no, I don't do it for the fun... I do it for the money.
In college, being nineteen, having my own dorm and classes I have to attend. There is nothing more entertaining than this game.
Eugene, Kristof, Hiccup and I made this bet. That every year, one of us has to try to get this 'girl' and at the end of the year, ask her to be the player's girlfriend. If she disagrees, then the player looses her and, yet the player still recieves half of the money that has been offered. However, If she agrees, then all of the money owed will be taken by the 'player'. And after, the player has to break her heart.
I've been winning this game ever since the start, girls come and go. There hasn't been one girl I wasn't ever really attracted to. So it was easy for me to not get effected by breaking their hearts. And tomorrow, it's my turn to play this game.
But what if someone came along and changed everything? Changed my thoughts, the way I act, the way I talk, what if someone changed my heart?
Nonsense, I have always been bad. Nothing and no one can change me, not even my love for a girl... right?
Elsa
I peacefully lay on the soft green grass, looking up to the sky. My long and wavy platinum blonde hair out and spread across the ground. My thin red lips curving into a small smile. My figure layed, wearing a red maroon long sleeve top, that hangs below both my shoulders, leaving my collar bone and shoulders exposed.
Skinny denim black ripped jeans and dark brown low heeled boots. My big electric blue eyes admiring the fluffy clouds in contrast with the strong blue background. My long and thick eyelashes blink constantly, wondering what it'll be like to even touch or feel the clouds.
I take a deep breath of the cool morning air. I always come here before school starts. I get up from my dorm early and head to the back of the school, it's like a private meditation to me.
I sit up and open my phone. I look at the time. School is starting soon. I sigh as I lay back down. Everyone thinks I'm intelligent at everything, that I have a 'hot' body and I'm beautiful. But I'm not perfect. To me, I'd like to think of myself as a happy and independent nerd. I go to class on time, I never risk anything, I love reading books... and I'm proud that. It's worth my college degree. But in this college, there are bad boys... and a lot of them.
Everytime a school bell rings, that's the alarm for guys to try and get the most 'hottest' girl in school. Me. And I hate it. Sure, It's fun to be admired but... I'm always thinking... when is someone going to love me, for real? Not because of my looks or body... but love me for the smart, nervous and goofy girl that I am. But clearly, everyone thinks otherwise.
I just want someone to come along in my life and change everything. Make everything adventurous and teach me to not be afraid.
The expected alarming sound of the school bell rings. Time to start my day. I stand up, brushing my slim long fingers through my hair, getting all the grass out. I flip my hair, leaving it cascading down my back. I get a little dejected from leaving my happy place and never going back to it until lunch or recess. But I never come here when school time ends, I walk straight to my dorm.
Rumours have been spreading that bad people are meeting up around this college. I haven't come to notice what these bad people do. And of course, I never risked finding out. But I've been desperately curious from time to time.
I wonder what fate has brought me today. All I can think of is 'hey babe' 'what's your number?' 'Wanna go to my place tonight?' A slight cringe over takes me as I get lost in thought whilst walking in the college hallways. I casually walk in the girls bathroom. I stop in my tracks and turn to the mirror.
Smiling at myself, I looked great. I stared closer and my lips curved into a frown as I scanned my face. Mascara was brushed in my eyelashes, my eyebrows done making them thin and define, a thin layer of foundation, little blush and my red lipstick.
I always wear makeup to college. Not a lot but, I wonder if anyone would still call me beautiful when all of the makeup is off. I sigh in front of the mirror. Looking for someone like that in this world is nearly impossible. With this generation, obsessed with social media and who can get with the hottest girl... It almost makes me feel alone. This school is so normal with typical players roaming about, it makes me sick.
Relax Elsa... you're eighteen with an organised mind, you Repunzel. And a caring sister like Anna. You're grades are high, just study, get your degree and get out.
My thoughts scold me. But something inside me screams for adventure, happiness... and love.
I want somebody real. Instead of boys trying to play with my heart.
But what if I don't hate the players? What if I change the game?
