Pikeglass

It was a dark and stormy night. Thuder and lightning cracked against a dark gray sky. Everyone was asleep. Everyone, that is, except for Me. I was curled up on my bed. Flinching at every little noise. A creak from the windows, a squeek from a mouse, even the blankets rustling whenever I moved.

Suddenly, I heard footsteps. They were walking towards my room. I quickly stuck my head under my covers, so the thing couldn't see me.
"You still awake?" It was Pike. Nope, no scary monster here.
"Y-yeah. What're you doing up?" I asked him.
"Couldn't sleep. You?" Well, is being scared of everything a reason?
"I couldn't sleep either." I said.
Yep, my scared of everything problem again.
"Scared of everything problem again?" He asked, and I nodded. We were both silent for a while.

"So, what can I do to help?" He finally said. I answered him with a shrug. He gets that look on his face, the "I got an idea, follow me" look. So, I followed him. He brought me to an empty hallway. Great. Bet then, the most peculiar thing happend. The wall at the end of the hallway moved. It just slid over, revealing a set of stairs.

We followed the stairs. They led up to the roof.
"Seriously Pike? The roof? In a storm?" I ask.
"Don't worry, I have a plan." He says, digging through his bag. He pulls out an umbrella. We climb onto the roof and watch as the rain falls. After awhile, it stops. And theres a rainbow.
