"I'm staying here for a little while longer...you know history isn't really my calling, besides my grade isn't that great I need to pass this exam or I might have to retake the course and that's money I don't have."

"Do you want me to bring you some coffee and a snack?" I sighed my roommate was way too caring, but my drooping eyes and growling tummy told me I should take Amber's offer.

"That actually sounds great thanks!" Amber and I said our goodbyes so I turned my attention back to the notebook in front of me.

Dates started to jumble in my brain and I felt like the numbers on my study guide were changing just so I'd be wrong. To say I was thankful to hear the click of Amber's heels as she walked through the library, was an understatement.  She dropped the lunch box on the table next to my books and I jumped up to hug her "Thanks A I really appreciate this. Seriously, you have no idea!" I looked at her she looked gorgeous.

"You're welcome, well I've got plans with Mike tonight so I'll see you tomorrow." Amber waved as she walked away.

"You look like a model!" I yelled at her retreating figure and got a stern stare from the librarian. I immediately pushed my notebook out of the way and pulled the lunch box in front of me. I pulled out a small sub sandwich, that looked like Amber's homemade bread, with cheese, multiple cheeses, and a few different meats, I was sure it had a little mayonnaise too. Laying the sub down I pulled out a container with a few strawberries and grapes. The very bottom container protected three of my roommates heavenly chocolate chip cookies. I pulled the thermos out of the insulated pocket on the side and poured out some coffee, taking a sip the sweet taste of chocolate and hazelnut hit my taste buds.

I ate my delicious meal that my over the top, best roommate ever had taken the time to make for me, while lightly studying, aka just looking over the vocabulary flashcards.

After eating I felt significantly better and pulled my books back in front of me ready to study. I study a couple more hours before my eyes started drooping again and I decided it was time for me to head home to get a few hours sleep before class. I packed all of my books and lunch box into my bag before standing up and grabbing my purse.

I plugged my headphones into my phone as I said goodnight to the librarian. My dorm was only a short walk and I enjoyed the lukewarm air as I made my way across campus. "Roll Up" by Wiz Khalifa started playing and for the first time in a very long time flashbacks from my first years of high school flooded my mind.

I looked around me, my living room was packed. Random outdoor folding chairs scattered the room since the couches and chairs in the living room had long ago been full. Most the people around me were boys, a few girls were here and there but not many. I watched as the multiple blunts being passed around the room carefully changed hands. I knew that I would get a little buzz but I also knew none of those blunts would be passed to me, I was only Cam's little sister and apparently off limits to anybody and from everything. I stood up and made my way to my room, I didn't really want to be around all that at the moment. Every weekend it was like this, my mom would leave for her boyfriend's and Cameron invites people over and my house becomes a giant party. The up side is, most of the guys are actually pretty nice when they aren't too messed up. I know most of them by now, actually I'm pretty friendly with some, the ones that stay to help clean the next day mostly. One boy in particular had been extra friendly these past few days, not that I haven't been making eyes at him since he first walked through my front door. In fact he just left a few minutes ago, but not before hugging me and letting his hands slid down to my butt and promising me to be back.

I quickly changed the song as he lingered in my mind. I shook my head, I knew that thinking about him would only cause problems so I focused on the next song that pulled me away from my thoughts. Soon I was sliding my key card and punching in the code to get in the building, then sliding my key card again to get in my room.
