Reece Dursley was quite a bright young girl. She was reading books and doing maths beyond her supposed level. She thought that solving difficult math questions was fun and loved the challenge, something Dudley couldn't understand, the books she read took her to another world onto an adventure. She wasn't just a nerd she loved going outside trying to find an adventure of her own which resulted her in using a thing called imagination she would come home, mostly from the backyard, and tell her parents of her adventure. This young girl when she spoke of her adventures, books or recent math problems her blue eyes would shimmer with excitement. But today, today was a special day, not that Reece knew.
Reece hopped out of bed and quickly got dressed and brushed her hair. She just had to write down her dream it was most interesting with the barbarians chasing after her as she had wandered into their camp and they didn't seem to appreciate that. She crossed swords with a few on the dream and came across a dragon who decided to help her and get her out of there. Once finished writing down her dream she lightly skipped down the steps to have breakfast that her mum had prepared, she had smelled it from her room. "Good morning mum!" She said this cheerily but her mother just gave her a small fake smile with a bland, "Good morning" her mother did things that a mother was suppose to do, make breakfast, take her clothes shopping, read bedtime stories, give her medicine when she was sick and make sure she didn't get too badly injured. But her mother just went the motions they weren't filled with love but more of a sense of duty. The one who her mother doted on was her little sister Karleen. Karleen was five years old and Reece loved her as a big sister should. Of course she was a bit jealous of her little sister. Reece could feel the difference of how her mother acted differently with them. Karleen would be starting school this year and Reece would be going into the 5th grade, but of course on an advanced program. Reece sat down at the dining table next to her sister as her dad just entered the room and her mother was setting the food onto tge table. "Good morning everyone" He smiled he was chubby but not nearly as fat as granddad he had blonde hair and blue eye which Reece and Karleen had inheriated but they had gotten their mothers other facial features the tiny button nose, long eyelashes, plump lips and dainty eyebrows. The young girls had also gotten their mothers petite body it seemed. Dudley Dursley kissed hiss wife on the cheek as he made his way over to his seat which Elanore Dursley soon after ended up at her seat at the other end of the table while Reece and Karleen sat across from each other sitting by both parents. They all just began to eat quite quietly. After about 30 minutes of breakfast with very small talking Dudley had to leave to the job that he practically inherited from his father. A director at Grunnings Drill Company. After he left Elenore was left with two small children which the older one immediately wanted to go outback and the younger one wanted to follow. Elenore not wanting the small one to go outback and get injured agreed reluctantly after the older one promised to make sure that her younger sibling wasn't to be injured. She was also warned that she would be in trouble if she was since she was the older sister. The two played out for hours and came back inside for lunch and kept on talking about their adventure so far and pretended that they were stopping in an inn. Afterwards the young girls headed back outside to continue their quests as adventurers. It was 5 pm and Dudley had come home to a prepared dinner and tired girls. He also brought in the mail as it seemed Elenore had forgotten about it. He hadn't had the chance to go through it yet and decided to do so after dinner. At the table his two daughters we're excitedly talking about the adventure they had made that day. He smiled at them and started to wonder about his parents, he hadn't seen them for about a month he ought to pay them a visit with the family he thought to himself. Soon enough everybody was done with dinner and they all were just in the living room. Him and Elenore on the couch watching a quiz show. Reece was reading and Karleen was dozing off by Reece. That's when he remembered the mail. He grabbed it and settled back down into his seat next to Elenore and started to shuffle through the mail and stopped immediately once he saw something. A creme colored envelope with a red seal that was addressed to Reece Dursley I'm green writing. He just stared at it and Elenore was looking at him questioningly. Of course he had never told her about his cousin Harry. It's not that he hated Harry or even disliked him it's just that they never seemed to keep in contact. But this letter brought back memories from years ago. He remembered it was the time dad had gone mad because letters kept coming, and a man with an umbrella gave him a tail, he shuddered at the memory. His wife had came over and took the letter without him realizing and her eyebrows furrowed into confusion. Why would their 10 year old daughter be getting a letter. She opened it before Dudley could even say anything and then many emotions washed over her face as she read the letter after a couple minutes of staring at the letter she looked over the young girl reading on the loveseat with her sisters head on her lap asleep in disbelief.
